Great paper - not the app
Without the context menu for translating and looking up words, the app is lacking as a useful tool.
Frustrante
Renovar la suscripción es una pesadilla , llevo 3 años en qué no es fácil x internet y solo se pide renovar cia telefónica lo cual demora aún más el

Offline use
It seems that the app is intended for use only when you have a stable internet connection. But what the developers didn't take into account is that when you read news at the subway (when you got the time) or in a place where you lack of connectivity you couldn't even finish the article because pops up in your face a notice that says "no internet connection". Guess is an advertising issue or lack of sympathy for people that like to read the news in their commute. Not even having a premium subscription you can't avoid this uncomfortable notice. Hope this get fixed soon.

no permite autenticarse y saca noticias viejas. No se refresca… muy mala app. Triste.
Problemas con la App
Esta funcionando mal, no permite leer las noticias completas, ni iniciar sesión. La elimine para volverla a descargar y no permite abrir
Problema con el login
El app funciona bien pero en varias ovaciones pide volver a hacer login y se traba la aplicación al intentarlo. Esto en un IPhone con Sistema operativo actual
Pop ups
La aplicación no deja leer las noticias. Apenas uno accede a la noticia emerge un pop un que no deja leer nada. No voy a renovar mi suscripción anual.
Los videos! Los videos! Argh!!!
Por el amor de Dios! Como puedo deshabilitar la reproducción automática de los videos de CityTV que ocupan toda la pantalla y no me dejan leer las noticias que es el motivo para el que tengo la app?! Si quisiera ver un video deberían tener la opción de uno mismo hacer click y ver lo que quiera. No nos obliguen a ver videos embebidos que no nos interesan! Desactiven eso o por lo menos denos la opción de deshabilitarlos nosotros mismos! Que horror!

Bad UX, no dark mode
As you navigate through the app, you’ll see countless pop-ups and banners. Some of the banners overlap the content, making it really confusing. In addition, there is no support for dark mode. No, thanks.
No carga
La app no carga el contenido de las secciones.
Notification options
The app should enable people to choose what kind of Notifications they are interested in receiving. There are days where 30+ are sent on topic that are not of general interest. Enabling users to select from a list of topics would be better UX design. Many other news apps have this option. Breaking News, Political, Sports, location-based, etc.

Pésimo servicio
Muy buenos para cobrar pero una vez que reciben el dinero no hay acceso a noticias y es imposible hablar con alguien. Pésimo servicio al cliente
Poorly designed
Poorly designed app. When you click on an article and then click back to the main stream, you have to start all over again from the top. The “back” arrow and the menu are the same.
Even when you subscribe, you get countless adds interrupting the visual flow of an article.
Most articles are poorly written and quickly produced. Punctuation mistakes are often found, and typos and spelling mistakes abound. You can tell novice writers redact most of the non-fundamental content.

no es buena app sobre todo porqué cuando uno está leyendo un artículo y se devuelve a la página anterior, la app no se devuelve al punto donde uno “iba” sino que se devuelve al inicio! muy incómodo!
Empeora con cada “actualización”
He sido suscriptor digital del Tiempo por varios años, y el comportamiento de la aplicación es cada vez peor.
Cancelé mi suscripción anterior y la reemplacé por una nueva. Aún así, no puedo acceder al contenido pago. La versión más reciente incrementó el número de “pop ups” (como si entre más de ellos el usuario fuese a leer el contenido que la aplicación está tratando de promover) y limitó el acceso al enlace al servicio al usuario.
Lo único que quiero es poder leer las noticias de Colombia que me interesan por esa razón pago por el servicio. Sin embargo, lo único que obtengo es el cargo mensual a mi cuenta de Apple.
Y eso sin mencionar la calidad del contenido que, francamente, continúa en serio declive. Hasta cuándo, Casa Editorial El Tiempo? Si necesitan ideas, qué tal si le echan una miradita a la aplicación móvil del NYT? Ese es un servicio del que uno no se arrepiente de pagar.

Cambios en versión empeoraron la App
Desde que hicieron cambios a la App para parecerse más al sitio Web han aparecido muchos problemas: No puedo leer algunos artículos para suscritores aunque yo soy subscriptora. Las paginas se refrescan cada rato e interrumpen la lectura. La sección de juegos no muestra bien la página y no se puede jugar. Aparecen ahora avisos publicitarios que antes no había, y ventanas qué aparecen cada vez que se abre la App y hay que cerrar pues no dejan leer.
Lo único positivo es que antes cuando había una notificación y la App estaba abierta, se dirigía automáticamente a la noticia, interrumpiendo la página que se estaba leyendo. Eso no pasa ahora.
Por favor arreglen estos problemas pues la suscripción esta perdiendo valor.

Pésima actualización
Soy un subscriptor desde hace varios años. Esta actualización hace imposible leer las noticias con esa mano de popups de publicidad. Muy mal diseño. Que lastima.
Is this a top newspaper app?
This app moves forward two steps and goes back three. The latest “update” locked me out of my paid subscription completely, to the point that I decided to cancel it.
I read newspapers from all over the world, paid and unpaid, and El Tiempo’s is far from being a four or five star app. Have you tried to look at a photo in full screen mode or use some of the links that use a tiny screenshot of an article? I don’t mind paying for a good service or product, as long as I receive the value proposition I’m being offered, this is not the case.
It’s a shame because I really want to have access to in-depth articles and news from Colombia, but in its current mode, the app and the service it’s supposed to provide access to are not worth the aggravation. I may subscribe again in the future, but for now I’ll continue to just read the headlines (although I paid for the entire month.)
Hopefully, Casa Editorial El Tiempo will improve its digital services beyond the ‘suficiente para descrestar calentanos’ mode.

Desafortunado cambio
La nueva versión digital impide disfrutar la lectura de los artículos. Aunque soy un suscriptor pago la cantidad de publicidad invasiva es desesperante, y además no permite regresar a versiones anteriores que eran mejores.
