Perlego has been really useful for my A-level studies with so many available books.
PDF reader is somewhat lacking
Someone else has mentioned poor/no support for pinch zoom in PDF documents, which I agree with. The inability to switch between vertical scrolling and horizontal paging also seems odd. But worst of all, there currently seems to be no find-in-book functionality (that I can find). I see that exists on the web app, so presumably the possibility exists; I hope it can be rolled out to the app itself.

Disappointed
Too much potential and matching disappointment. 48 hours for response on trouble shooting issues not even to solve the problem but they had no problem collecting my money up front immediately.
Impossible to cancel subscription
There website constantly crashes and there’s no option in the app to cancel it. Awful company
Lack of payment options for Indian users.
I am not able to pay through my credit card, probably because it’s charging 0 GBP instead of rupees. Don’t have a PayPal option either.

Just not worth the money and the product is of zero value. Never again.
Not very user friendly
Quite difficult to scroll, zoom in, zoom out, and highlight on mobile
Worked well until recently
This app worked great until recently. There is now trouble with the functions of the app like highlighting and taking notes which have made it frustrating.
Could use a lot of improvement
Great content but the mobile and iPad apps don’t allow searching within books or copy/pasting even just a little bit, which is really annoying when you just want to copy a short quotation into your paper or the title of a reference so you can look it up. Given that it’s a digital format these things ought to be possible, otherwise other than ease of access it’s not really that much more convenient than a paper book in a lot of ways, without the benefit of being easier to physically pick up and flick through.

It would be a lot better if the text to speech picked up where you left off.
Everything is unavailable :(
Paid subscription fee for access, but most of the textbooks that I’m interested in are unavailable (cardiology at present; reason I think is distribution rights - I’m based in Australia). The availability should be made clearer pre-subscription/purchase. I can’t even filter by availability so I have to individually check each textbook in a search to find out whether it’s available in the first place. Very disappointing.

Great Idea - Needs Refining Urgently
Perlego is a brilliant idea. Having a vast array of often very expensive books at your fingertips for a reasonable fee is superb. The app however is not. It appears they are just hosting the web version on the app and so it’s very slow. The assistive reader is a priceless feature allowing one to really ‘lock in’ - I use it all the time to shut out distractions. Again, however, it is woefully glitchy and sometimes doesn’t load. Once the app is improved, 5 stars it will be.

Great service
I like Perlego for its two subscription tiers, with the higher one giving broad access across many fields. Smart Search makes it easy to find the exact content, I don’t need to dig through titles or tables of contents. It’s a great platform, though I personally prefer the web version so I don’t have to download books.

Must have resource!!!
This app given you access to millions of books! As a graduate student I can access lots of great material for research papers. Many times my required texts are available in the app saving me money on text books. Many of the books have an audible version. 100% worth the subscription.
Need update on live activities
Hello, i would like to give a suggestion; it will be really nice if you can activate the live activities feature (such as iphone’s timer) because i am reading in between my rest sessions at the gym. This update will be of a tremendous help; thanks for the great app!
