Permeable

The Permeable app is a native iOS companion for the Signel smart ring. A Signel smart ring (sold separately) is required; the app does not function independently. Permeable is a hardware controller designed to pair with the Signel ring, manage device settings, maintain firmware compatibility, and display ring-generated activity and sleep data through native iOS interfaces. The app enables users to view, monitor, and analyze personal exercise and rest data directly on their device using real-time metrics and historical trend visualizations. Core functionality includes: • Exercise activity tracking View real-time movement data captured by the Signel ring, monitor daily activity levels, and review trends over daily, weekly, and monthly periods • Sleep tracking and analysis Review sleep sessions recorded by the ring, including Deep, Light, REM, and Awake stages, along with breathing quality and heart rate during sleep. • Biometric measurements Access ring-generated biometric data such as heart rate, skin temperature trends, blood oxygen levels, and estimated calories burned, presented with minimum, average, and maximum values over time. • Apple Health integration Permeable can read selected activity data from Apple Health, including steps and calories, to supplement activity summaries and trend visualization. All data is presented through native dashboards and interactive charts designed to make patterns and changes easy to understand at a glance. The app focuses on direct device interaction, real-time feedback, and local visualization of ring-generated data. Permeable is actively developed alongside the Signel platform, with ongoing enhancements planned for device control, data visualization, and system integration to further extend the functionality of the Signel smart ring.
