About

PerturbLab is a clean visual lab for observing how small rules and tiny parameter changes can grow into visibly different behavior. Run paired perturbation experiments across chaotic flows, celestial motion, pendulums, maps, reaction fields, cellular systems, fractals, particles, billiards, and oscillator networks. Each paired experiment shows a baseline run and a perturbed run, so you can compare trajectories, switch to overlay mode, adjust perturbation strength, change speed, randomize seeds, and watch divergence unfold. The library also includes Rule Emergence experiments: single-system rule runs where simple deterministic steps form paths, grid textures, waves, traffic patterns, quasi-periodic traces, and long-lived non-repeating structure. The library now adds Phase Transitions: sweep-based threshold experiments where percolation, magnetization, epidemic spread, traffic, synchronization, network collapse, and consensus systems change sharply as a control parameter crosses a critical region. The experiment library includes 100+ local simulations, including 34 Rule Emergence systems and 15 Phase Transitions systems. Examples include Langton's Ant, Rotor-router Walk, Wireworld Signals, chip-firing fields, Percolation Threshold, Ising Magnetization, Epidemic Threshold, Traffic Jam Transition, Kuramoto Locking, Bootstrap Percolation, and K-Core Network Collapse. PerturbLab is designed for visual exploration rather than heavy equations. It keeps the interface quiet and gives most of the screen to motion. The app works without an account, ads, analytics, subscriptions, in-app purchases, external payment links, or tracking SDKs. Simulations and preferences stay on your device.
