Your cycle, your symptoms, your moods — all of it stays on your phone, encrypted, and none of it is ever uploaded anywhere. That is not a setting you have to find. It is how the app is built. WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO USE Open Petal and you see one thing: a soft circular ring showing exactly where you are in your cycle, and how many days until your next period. Tap a flow, a symptom or a mood to log today. That is the whole daily interaction — about five seconds, and it is the only screen you need most mornings. PREDICTIONS THAT ARE HONEST WITH YOU Petal tells you when your next period is likely, when your fertile window opens, and when to expect ovulation and PMS. It also tells you how confident it is, and shows you the range rather than a single reassuring number. If your cycles are irregular, it says so instead of inventing certainty. Everything sharpens as you log more. WHAT YOU GET BACK Over a few cycles Petal builds a picture: your average cycle and period length, how much they vary, and which symptoms and moods cluster in which phase. When you need it, one tap produces a clean PDF health report to take to an appointment. There is a trying-to-conceive mode with a fertile-window focus, a basal temperature chart and ovulation-test logging, and a simple pregnancy mode for when the time comes. PRIVACY YOU CAN ACTUALLY CHECK Lock the app behind a PIN or Face ID. Turn on discreet mode so nothing shows in the app switcher. Take an encrypted backup you hold yourself. Delete everything in one tap, with nothing left behind on a server, because there was never a server. Reminders are opt-in and individual: period soon, period late, fertile window, ovulation, pill, or a nudge to log. Choose only the ones you want. WHAT IT COSTS Nothing.
