Golden hour on a southern terrain. A steel boule leaves your hand, arcs, lands with a weight you can feel, and runs to a stop in the gravel. That is the whole game, and it is the part most boules games get wrong. TWO GAMES, ONE ENGINE Petanque and bocce, each with its own rules and its own scoring. Play 1v1 against the AI, or 2v2 pass-and-play, passing one device around the table. THREE SHOTS, LIKE THE REAL THING Point to roll in close. Lob to drop a boule almost dead where it lands. Shoot flat and hard to knock an opponent out and take its place - the carreau. Each one flies differently and, more importantly, behaves differently once it touches the ground. AN AI THAT DOES NOT CHEAT The opponent reads the same court you do: where the boules are, where the jack is, nothing more. It has no view of your hand, no preview of the result, and it throws through the same controls a swipe of your finger uses. Difficulty changes how well it aims and how much of the situation it reads - never what it is allowed to know. MEASURED, NOT GUESSED At the end of every end, the measure line shows the distances that decided it. No arguing with the referee.
