Petya — Network Check

Petya shows which services answer from your device right now, which stay silent, and what exactly is wrong with them. CHECK One button. The app asks every service on the list for the smallest file it serves and times the answer. A few seconds later every row carries its own response time. Eight outcomes, not two. "No answer", "connection dropped", "name did not resolve", "certificate error", "address substituted" are different failures in different places. Knowing which one beats seeing a red dot. HISTORY Every check is stored on the device. It answers not "what is broken now" but since when: each service gets its share of successful checks, a median response time, a spread, and a chart of recent runs. History exports as a spreadsheet. NETWORK Connection type, IPv4 and IPv6, metered traffic, low data mode. Plus the external address and country every site you visit already sees. Half the meaning of a check lives in that line: a wall of red means one thing on home Wi-Fi and something else entirely on a foreign network. TOOLS Compare what the system resolver answers against Cloudflare and Google. Check a TCP port and time the connection. One resolver is not enough: an address that answers with the wrong thing answers fast and with a valid certificate, and only a comparison reveals it. YOUR OWN ADDRESSES A work portal, a home server, a bank. Any address joins the list and is checked alongside the rest, landing in the same history. IN THE BACKGROUND The app checks on its own and notifies you when a service stops or starts answering again. Changes only — something down since Tuesday will not remind you every hour. SIRI AND SHORTCUTS "Check the network" answers by voice without opening anything. The check can be automated: on joining Wi-Fi, on a schedule, however you like. VPN If a service does not answer, Petya can open a way to it — using your own configuration. Paste the link your provider gave you, or open it from a messenger: the app reads the server list and connects. Petya has no servers of its own, and no account or payment inside. While the tunnel is on, traffic goes through the server you picked, and the external address line shows it. The server list is stored on the device and refreshes on its own, as often as your provider asks. One button removes the link — and the VPN profile with it. The DNS resolver is configurable: your own operator or the one from the configuration, and the path — direct or through the tunnel. PLAINLY The checks redirect nothing — they only measure what is visible from the device. Traffic goes through a server only while you turn the tunnel on yourself, and the same button turns it off. Measurements stay on the device until you send them yourself. No accounts, no ads, no analytics.
