Retrova custom dial suggestion
The app seems to work well. The retrova as a piece of hardware works well. My only gripe is that the custom dial would be perfect to adjust exposure but it Is not an option. Please add it in a future update.

Very nice filters and a very fun handheld to use with the retro style physical device, but it does drain the battery while it’s on use. There are some bugs when you use it and to get around them, I was able to uninstall and reinstall the app to get the language back to the right setting. Exposure previews are not always real in the preview I noticed.

Extremely buggy app with wrong language, grip drains battery if off
The Retrova grip drains battery even when off. The app is not stuck in other languages like Russian. Very buggy and unusable.

I am really enjoying the app. PGYTECH has developed. Would be nice if they could do an update to give burst mode to their app. Maybe in a future update.
Good, some glitches affecting iPhone
Used this app for the Retrova kit. Was confusing at first but in order to use telephoto lens you need to select the telephoto option on, otherwise picture is upside down. Second once you use any manual features on this app it will bug out the native iPhone camera app, one such cinematic mode on iPhone native camera app stops working and some slow downs on native camera app; a phone restart required. Otherwise once these software glitches are fixed, great app.

I don’t know what this app is doing when it’s running, but it turns my phone into a hot brick! It should not be using that much power.
It’s too bad, because I do like the choice of filters and the overall interface.
Another issue I see is that the settings option to change the photo storage location is grayed out and does not work.

Update to my review below: Shooting proRAW 48mp photos is a glitchy, shot missing experience with the 2x zoom. Switching between Raw and HEIF causes “could not process” errors. Shots missed. Viewfinder not updating in raw/48mp mode often with the 2x zoom and manual at iso at 35 at least. Files sizes I will scrutinize next week because the Live Photo HEIFs and the raw photos are much larger at 48 mp than what the default app makes. Other issues include no P3 on Raw and going to manual, choosing 48mp, going back to auto says it’s 48 mp but camera takes 12 (minor user flow bug which is reproducible). Anyway overall good, but on the 17 pro max, I’m hitting a lot of unresponsive hiccups above.
Still great, but lacking quality on the flows above.

Great app, missing one feature
I really love this app, the color processing along with reducing sharpening, apple log with lut… etc. if this app allowed you to use the retrova to control exposure compensation with the front dial, instead of only controlling individual parameters like ss, iso, wb, then it would be perfect.
Autofocus issues
Not sure what happened but the latest updates has issues with autofocus. It’s a decent app but is buggy. No longer prefer this to the native camera app.
Works well with RetroVa Grip
Pretty happy with this app, especially with the various film filers. The RetroVa camera grip and case works well with it, mostly. Need a way to lock the film simulation filter down so that it doesn’t keep changing.
