About
A local-first Markdown notebook for people who think in fragments.
— One line
PhanNote keeps your notes on your device by default — capture a thought in one tap, organise it with #tags and [[wikilinks]], and re-find it later through a Timeline that reads like a memory stream. No account, no sign-up, no cloud lock-in.
— What you can do
- One-tap capture: a floating sheet accepts title + body in a single field.
- Markdown native: a real toolbar that inserts syntax, edit/preview tabs, 800ms debounced autosave.
- Daily note: a per-day journal auto-created on your first capture of the day.
- Wiki links: type [[Title]] to jump; missing targets render as ghost links.
- Inline tags: type #tag and it is filed and counted automatically.
- Full-text search: hits title, body, and tag names; Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) opens it.
- Wide layout: on web ≥900px, the app switches to a sidebar + card grid + Doc editor.
- Themes: light and dark, every colour driven by a semantic token.
- Bilingual: Chinese and English dictionaries share a key shape verified by recursive tests.
- Local-first: AsyncStorage / localStorage persistence, offline-first, JSON backup export.
- Trash: soft delete, restore, hard delete.
— The promise
We just want to keep "writing things down" clean — no data hostage, no forced cloud, no setup tax. Open the app, write the thought, then forget the app exists.
