PhaseXpert

PhaseXpert is an engineering application for calculating thermodynamic and transport properties of CO₂ and supported CO₂-rich mixtures. Designed for engineers, researchers and professionals working with carbon capture, transport and storage, PhaseXpert combines practical calculation tools with transparent scientific traceability. With PhaseXpert you can: - Calculate density, viscosity, molar mass, specific volume, compressibility factor and other supported properties. - Define custom CO₂-rich mixtures using common impurities such as N₂, O₂, Ar, CH₄, H₂, CO, H₂S and H₂O. - Explore phase behaviour and phase diagrams. - Save and reuse calculation cases. - Access built-in representative CCS compositions. - Compare multiple cases side by side. - Run property sweeps across pressure and temperature ranges. - Export calculation results for further analysis and documentation. - See when a property and operating state are supported by independent experimental validation evidence. - Explore validated reference cases directly from the Saved Cases section. PhaseXpert clearly separates calculation from validation. General Properties provides the primary engineering calculations, while the Validation layer identifies specific compositions, properties and operating ranges for which independent experimental evidence is available. The app also provides information about the IFE Model, a proprietary thermodynamic model currently under development by IFE Flow Technology and supported by experimental work, including measurements in IFE’s FALCON CO₂ facility. PhaseXpert includes English and Norwegian interfaces and is designed for practical engineering use on iPhone. Important: PhaseXpert is an engineering support tool.
