SCAM WILL CONTINUE CHARGING EVEN AFTER CANCELLATION - NO REFUND POLICY
Total scam app. I have cancelled my subscription 4 times and am STILL being charged without my consent. Customer service was completely unhelpful and told me they “don’t do refunds” despite the fact that they were never authorized to charge me in the first place. Disgusting.

Tried to sign up and watch a show as free only to find that I have to record it first then watch back… not fit for me so decide to cancel right away.. had 7 day trail. Tried to cancel with in 10 minutes..

Meh. Too expensive.
would be nice if they showed stuff people want to watch! about 80% of the channels are garbage and we see enough of that in Ads alone. $28.99 is too expensive for this app.
Crashing
Love the app but problems lately. If I’m watching from the mobile app it completely crashes and I have to go back and find what I was watching again. Sucks because I play a show while I listen at work and I don’t have time to keep restarting it. App is up to date.

On my tv it lags badly, but on my phone it don’t lag. Is there a way to fix or not. If there is a way I will give 5 stars but until than it will be a 3 cause I can’t not watch on tv without it lagging and it loading.

Good but Bad
Philo has good channels, but I have more issues with delays and stalling. It’s not my internet because I have a top tier package. Not sure if it’s the updates or what.

Why is there so many ads?
Please stop with the ads. You can’t tell me it’s to keep it cheap because over the 4 years I’ve used Philo it’s so expensive now. It’s gone up and up with more and more ads. I’m canceling for sure. If I’m going to pay that much might as well pay for YouTube tv with 1 or 2 ads. You got big and you got greedy

Paying $25 just for the Essential Pack is crazy. Then, after buying the pack and getting on the streaming service, I saw that most of the movies and TV shows were old. Honestly, it felt like the biggest waste of money.
I would not recommend Philo unless you are someone who enjoys really old movies and TV shows. If that’s your preference, then it may work for you, but if not, this is not the right streaming service. They are not even updated on TV shows that came out in 2021, and they don’t have all the episodes uploaded.
Overall, I highly would not recommend Philo.

$30 and you still get ads
Ridiculous how it is $30 per month then shows littered with ads that you can’t skip. It’s being uninstalled just before the trial ends.
Heavy battery drainer
I actually love the app and the product. Philo seems to be a consumer friendly product which cares about the user experience. What makes me use it more is that the iPad app drains my battery like crazy. I thought it was just my old iPad but even my new one gets hot and quickly runs out of battery. Please fix and I will instantly update my rating to a 5 star.

Playing ads on top of a $28/ month service is terrible. Watch content elsewhere.
More ads than show
Not only are there too many ads but the length of them are too long! No other app has ads that run this long and that are this frequent but yet it’s one of the highest in price! I just don’t get it. I shouldn’t have to pay more for no ads when the price is already high. And I see that I’m not the only one that feels that way so something has to give at some point because this is ridiculous.
