Why remove other magazines?!
Bring other magazines back. I’m talking about the metaphysics, epistemology and other types that describe the fundamentals of the philosophy.
Cheated.
To be clear, this review says nothing of the content (which I quite enjoyed when I had partial access to it) and instead says everything about the app and service, which should truthfully get 0 stars. So, I payed for a subscription and I don’t even get access to the entire archive of magazines. You still have to pay for past subscriptions. In order to read magazines on other devices you need to login. However, you must *email* them to get login credentials. Okay, great right? Just do that? Well I did and got one email response back asking to verify which email I purchased the subscription under, so I replied back promptly. That was 11 days ago and still no response. So, I try to report a quality control issue through Apple and the complaint doesn’t even show up on my history through Apple, which I understand is a separate issue that I need to deal with through Apple. And of course, no word from anyone at Philosophy Now! regarding my complaints filed so I’m not even entirely sure if it was actually processed. The complaint was filed 4 days ago now. There is also a bug which makes it so that I can’t even read the latest issue. I want my money back but I can’t even request a refund through Apple since I purchased the subscription in September and it is now April. Why on earth would anyone make an app so that you have to email to get login credentials to access that which you have already paid for is beyond me. The least they could do is respond to the email or something if they’re having technical issues. Save yourself the headache of dealing with an app that only just updated 2 weeks ago after almost a decade of no updates whatsoever.

MUST PAY APP
literally u download the app and cant read anything without a subscription. even news from 5 years ago, i cant read. there are no free reads. they are just maliciously wasting ur time.
Subscription not what I thought
I thought the one year subscription would also give me access to back issues. It doesn't.
Not a bad app.
I only subscribed for IOS, so I don’t have the issues others have mentioned. The app itself is very minimalistic. It’s not a very savvy app, technologically, by any means. But its format is easy to navigate and even allows for text-to-speech on IOS. For the content of the magazine, the quality fluctuates as all “pop” *insert topic* magazines tend to do. On the whole, I find little to complain about.
