Not bad

I am a H-series user
It is a good app just for preview images instantly.
But the quality of preview is very low.

Cannot be more instable...

Phocus app for iMac crashes all the time, Hasselblad not only don’t know why but don’t do anything about it.
This app is bad as well and I generally not recommend using Phocus app nor Phocus for iMac!!!
Avoid Hasselblad as a whole! I have used Hasselblad film and now digital for the last 15-20y and the brand isn’t good anymore, quality went down and price went up.

The app need to be updated!!

Phocus Mobile 2 doesn’t support mobile phone! Only iPad, you should call it Phocus iPad!

This app is too old. For a camera sells 10000 USD, at least provide some nice support of the apps.

This App doesn’t show Live Photo’s via your camera lens, you don’t even know where your camera is focusing on. Neither showing the position if you want to take selfie.

Please update this one ASAP!!

Last version was 2 years ago!!

Still Doesn’t Work With Mk II

I love the X1D, and I have both models, but the fact that this software hasn’t been updated in two years, let alone for the Mk II, earns it zero stars as far as I am concerned.

Does not work with X1D II

From everything I have read online, this app should be compatible with the new X1D2 50C. But beware...... it just does not work. Will not recognize the camera. And yes, i have connectivity set to IOS on the camera. Ashame.

Excellent tool for remote operation

I use this with my x1D. Easy to set up and use to view camera field of view and controls. I find I see more controls and have more of a feel for some factors, such as exposure, than I do from the camera viewfinder. I have had no issues at all- thanks for an extremely useful tool hassblad!

Works great!!

I’m using with X1D.

Unlike mobile companion apps I’ve used from other vendors, this app works surprisingly well. It lacks a lot of features but the ones it has a working for me well.

The app includes all the basic stuff you’d expect like live view, focus controls, exposure controls, etc.

I’m giving it 4 stars because there’s some key nice-to-have features missing such and the app feels very 1.0. For example, no live histogram, need to switch out of live view to change exposure settings and take exposure, etc.

Overall, nice job.

Crashes every time try to save image into phone

Only do half of what it is suppose to do. App crashes every time trying to save image into phone. Tried multiple device and multiple cameras, same result.

'Save Image' functionality still not working

When trying to save a particular Image, Phocus crashes.
It's great to be able to view the images via wifi on mobile or tablet but to loose quality taking a screen shot of the phone is such a frustration. Would you fix the 'save image' function asap please. Thanks.

Buggy untested software

Recently purchased H6D 100c camera. Have been trying to download images from the camera cfast card using focus 3.0 and mobile focus but with no luck. I am able to see thumb nails of images but the send button is disabled on phocus mobile. Also can't view videos stored on memory cards in camera. Unable to select white balance setting from iPhone. Star rating gray and not operable. Many other missing features. Looks like software was not tested prior to release. When u spend a ton of money on the camera you should expect better quality software. Hasselblad should dedicate more resources fixing their software instead of on advertising half baked products.

Useful but slow

The wireless camera control (which is free, unlike certain other medium format camera makers) is useful in a studio setup when the camera has been set up out of reach but ultimately the Phocus desktop software does exactly the same thing. Sadly even on a super fast wifi connection the app is slow to load image previews and the like.

A must have

The best. Works great with Mac and PC.

App is stuck looking for server

Bad app. Can't use. It is stuck looking for its server

Used to work great.

I just upgraded to 2.0 and nothing works now. 100% zoom doesn't work and image come over all mushed and crashes after 5 or so shots. Also couldn't get multi devices to work. Really needs more fixes.

Should not have been released

Every time I try to show a client how cool this app is it crashes!

Fix it and re release a working version

Exceptional tool!

Phocus is an exception tool for any commercial photographer working directly with clients. My clients can now sit back or even be in their office working an view images as I shoot. They can even rank them by priority.

Excellent tool!

Too buggy to use

I really wish this worked even half the time without completely crashing Phocus and costing valuable time. It simply isn't acceptable as part of a $20,000 system for studio professionals. It just doesn't work.

Very Cool, when it didn't crash everything

Using an iPad2:
Works great sometimes. Could be very productive.
I received connection errors, 54,57.....crashed the Phocus program on the iMac, had to restart, caused issues with the computer not being able to receive captures from the camera too.

Hope they fix it.

Easy

Easy setup, it just works even in location adHoc with MBP and you have the client away from you.
My wish list is to add histogram and focus check

Love this App!

If you are a Hasselblad studio shooter, this one app alone may justify purchasing an iPad. Best part about this app is it just works upon launch with Phocus 2.6! After five days of use it has proved to be invaluable. A food stylist can now use the iPad to view the shot without having to turn completely around to look at the computer monitor. It also gets rid of too many people standing around the monitor and can quickly calm a nervous model by getting people off the set, since they can now view the shots from another part of the studio and rate the shots remotely. Works great with the iPhone too. Love the slick and beautiful capture interface especially since it is complete with mirror lock-up. Kudos to the developer on this one. Great job!
