About
Phocus is a camera app that puts the filter on before you press the shutter, not after.
You're looking at the graded image while you frame the shot. The intensity slider sits on the preview, the filter strip is one tap away, and the photo you take is the photo you saw. There's no editing step between the camera and the result.
Filters use the LUT format — the same one used in video color grading. A few are built in, more are available as packs inside the app, and there's a folder in your iCloud Drive called Luts. Drop a .png or .jpg LUT into that folder and it shows up next to the rest.
Some things that aren't flashy but matter:
· Tap to focus, drag to set exposure. They're independent, no menus.
· The hardware volume buttons fire the shutter. Useful when the phone is in a grip or on a tripod.
· There's a grid, four flash modes including a torch, and a film-grain shader that doesn't look like it was pasted on.
· Favorites for the looks you keep coming back to, in a long-press menu.
· English, Russian, Spanish.
Phocus Pro unlocks the premium filter packs. Monthly or yearly, cancel from your Apple ID settings. The free version is a full camera with all the controls — you just won't see the premium packs.
Built for iOS 26. The shutter button uses the new liquid glass material.
