Phones Down - Reduce Classroom Distractions

Phones Down is an app designed to help keep students off of their phone at inappropriate times in the classroom. Our mission is to increase student engagement and attention by reducing B.Y.O.D. distractions. While B.Y.O.D. (Bring your own device) has ushered in new possibilities, mobile devices pose a serious distraction and impede on classroom learning. Phones Down is a mobile app that can track student cell phone usage during class. Students start app to track their phone movement through the proximity sensor built into their phones. Teachers can monitor how often students have been active on their phones at inappropriate times. Students are held accountable by their teachers.
