FAQ
How does PhoneStack help me focus with friends?
PhoneStack allows you to start shared "Stacks" where distracting apps are blocked for everyone involved, using Apple's Screen Time technology. You can see who is present live and encourage each other to stay focused.
What is a "Pact" in PhoneStack?
A Pact is a daily limit on social app usage that you agree upon with your friends. The group streak grows with each clean day, and the first person to exceed the limit breaks it for everyone.
Does PhoneStack track my individual app usage?
No, your specific app usage and the time spent on them remain private on your device. Friends only see whether you passed or failed to meet the group's focus goal, not the details of your usage.
How are streaks maintained in PhoneStack?
Streaks are built by completing focus sessions and achieving clean days where everyone adheres to the agreed-upon limits. These streaks are kept collectively with your friends, roommates, or study group.
