Main reason why we buy complication apps is to monitor via glance
When I check my iPhone battery on this complication on my watch the reading is outdated and I have to open and touch the app and press update. It defeats the purpose of having a complication

Free and works ... more than good enough in my books
The developer was right. It works when installed properly. To call a free app that works when properly installed a scam is just absurd. Free and works ... more than good enough in my books
If it doesn’t do exactly what you need it to do, go create your own.
Apple will allow you to use your creation for 7 days before having to re-install on your watch/phone without a developers fee.

Complication refresh times
Very nice app with complications but the app description doesn’t say how often the complication refreshes and updates

Alas it looks like another scam. Phone has died twice so far without making a sound😤
