Really not very good at all.
Response from developer
Generation of the 3D image is dependent on the iPhone building a depth map during the capture. For the rear dual-cameras, this is best done between 4 and 8 feet from the subject and in good lighting. The tri-cameras are better at generating the depth maps, since they work on 2 axes. The front TrueDepth camera works best beyond about 2ft/.7m. This app works in the same manner as Portrait Mode in the Photo app. Any portrait photos in your Camera Roll with a good amount of depth will import well. All of your concerns regarding the interface have been addressed in newer releases: swiping, zooming, depth, saving, and returning to camera capture.
