Free version doesnt work anymore

I was trying to check some locations and it doesnt seem to return any spots. To test, I then put the map on multiple famous areas and none worked. Is that some bug introduced or is it done on purpose? If done on purpose, photohound should just come clean and save everyone the trouble.

Add photos?

I can’t see how I can upload info… I’m thinking you want us to pay for a premium membership to share our favorite locations?? There isn’t much content in the US, there would be a lot more I’m sure if one could actually upload stuff. I’ll look for a response here but I’m about to delete the app 👎I travel a lot and would love a site to lead me to good locations and I’d happily share what I discover. But I can’t see how to do that in the free version.

You should be able to move around the map and then hit search this area to view spots in the location you are interested in. Or you can switch to guides to view the 70+ photoguides we have available. Im confident that once you've got used to using the app, you'll find it useful for your travel photography. Best wishes, Jules

We're always working on ways to improve the app. Speed of loading photos has been improved since you wrote this review, however, sometimes the quality of internet speed will affect this. We'd love to see you share some of your discoveries and images with the PhotoHound community :)

Lots of glitches

Downloaded the app and tried to access EXIF details for images but it’s not allowing we to do that. Upgrade to premium but tells me I’m still on free plan. Sought support but zero answer. Disappointing.

You should be able to see image EXIF (if available) in the free version of the app. Simply tap on (i) when you are on the image and you should see the available metadata. There was a glitch with Premium which is now resolved. Sorry about that. We wish you successful trips and we hope that the app will help you discover new places to shoot.

Unable login difficult navigation

I downloaded app then created account following which I could on login on the web.
I tried to navigate the online version and it is convoluted and not very good.

Wow…just WOW

I got this app yesterday and it took me just 30 minutes to better plan a four day photo trip to Rome that had taken me two weeks to sort previously.

This is probably all you need to plan your trip. Times to go, what you’ll need, positions and what’s available in the area. Always good to know refreshments are nearby or not after a shoot.

Not got where you want to go? Well go there and add your images and get involved in the community.

Too Limited In Locations

While the functionality of the app worked just fine, I found for me, it was too limited in locations where I want to photograph. I moved to Texas two years ago and do a lot of camping and photography in the state parks. However there are only two photo hound locations as part of the app in the big state of Texas.

We're a steadily growing community of photographers who are voluntarily sharing favourite photo spots on our world map to help other travel photographers find and get to new places. We accept that there are still many areas we need to gain more coverage in and unfortunately that does take time. As you say, the functionality is top notch and we've made sure that even our free version is useful. Please keep checking in and do consider adding some of your own favourite locations as you discover them to share with the community. We hope you might review your review as we grow!

Spots still won’t load

This is my second attempt at a review after the first one was deleted. This app doesn’t work. The spots never load. I’ve been a avid photohound website user from the beginning and was excited about the app, but sadly it’s useless.
