I use this app to help with my homework and it is constantly giving me the wrong answers. Not only does it do that, but it also doesn’t explain how to do it. The main reason I got it was so I could have my math explained instead of using AI to just give me the answer. Don’t download this app.

You have to pay to be able to solve ONE problem…. Literally download to solve a problem and was immediately hit with a paywall…… wouldn’t do step TWO of the equations unless I pay for a subscription!!!

From a Great Learning Tool to a Paywall
I’ve been an avid Photomath user for years, and unfortunately, I’m really disappointed with the direction the app has taken. One of the things that originally made Photomath so useful was its ability to quickly help you understand a math problem—not simply give you an answer.
Over time, however, more and more of the genuinely helpful features seem to have been locked behind a subscription. At this point, the free version feels so restricted that the app has lost much of what made it valuable in the first place.
I understand that developers need to make money and that premium features are reasonable. But there’s a difference between offering additional benefits to subscribers and gradually removing or restricting the core functionality that longtime users came to rely on.
I’ve recommended Photomath many times over the years because it was an excellent learning tool. I wish I could still recommend it as enthusiastically. Unfortunately, unless you’re willing to pay for the subscription, it simply isn’t nearly as helpful as it used to be.

What has happened to this app, with the rise of ai you might think they would decrease the amount that you pay, but today I scanned a simple problem just so I may find the answer but it say I had to buy pro. I’m uninstalling this garbage, it sucks because I used to love this app.
The contents are okay, but using plus sucks
I have no issue with using the app, or the answers etc. it is using plus that is the problem. Every time I go to use plus it tells me I need to subscribe, which I am. Then I have to go through and unlock plus and the App Store tells me I am already subscribing to this. Then it finally works, until the app restart's and I have to go through it all over again... every single time I use the app.
