Almost perfect but…
This application is perfect for syncing photos and videos with Backblaze cloud storage (which costs less than competitors).
However, there is one critical issue and tree key improvements needed before I can fully use the application and switch from Google Photos to you + Backblaze:
1.When tapping on a photo, do not open the one from the row above.
2.Add a “Photo Library” view that combines all photos regardless of the album (similar to the iPhone Photos app).
3.Once a photo is opened, allow swiping left to move to the previous photo (this is not currently possible).
4.Enable automatic synchronization that runs periodically in the background when the app is open, just like Google Photos.
Excellent
Et les développeurs sont réactifs et à l’écoute pour améliorer l’application donc c’est agréable !
Nice tried
Response from developer
This app is not designed to be a s3-compatible storage file browser of your existing buckets. For that there are other apps that are designed to let you browse your existing storage buckets and transfer files. Photos+ by contrast is a complete Photo Management Library with image AI, geolocation tagging, partner sharing, etc., similar to for example Google Photos or Amazon Photos but one that uses your own s3-compatible account for its storage. As such, it requires that all photos be added through the app and it’s also why it requires selecting an empty new bucket in the initial configuration. Album move/copy will be added soon. Thank you.
Awesome
I have been storing my photos on Google drive and looking for something that would manage my photos easier
I highly recommend this app
Thank you !
Great potential
If anyone else is curious, they create two folders in your bucket, one with originals (original HEIC and MOV files, not exported jpg and mp4), one with optimized previews. Clever IMHO, they’re doing something like NextCloud but distributed where each client does and takes what it needs from “dumb” cloud storage.

Great alternative!
Since we installed this, my wife and I hardly share anything to facebook anymore, now we just post the occasional photo on facebook for the distant relatives, but all the more private stuff we never really felt comfortable sharing on facebook to begin with, we now share on this app without worries since its completely private between just us. It’s almost like having our own mini private social network, just for ourselves. The only thing that I think is missing is a commenting feature, though frankly I think I actually like it better where I no longer waste time adding silly comments to photos.
