Freemium Bait & Switch dark pattern
I would've gladly paid up front & given a positive review. It's not that expensive, is the deception really necessary?

Thanks for taking the time to leave detailed feedback - we genuinely appreciate it. PhotoWash uses a freemium model, which is a common and legitimate way to let users explore an app’s functionality before committing to a purchase. The intention is not to mislead, but to allow people to see the value of the app in real use, rather than asking for payment up front without context. That said, pricing and subscription information is disclosed on the App Store product page, as required by Apple, and is also clearly shown before any purchase is completed. No charges are made without explicit confirmation. We understand, however, that some users prefer even clearer upfront signalling. Based on feedback like yours, we’re planning to introduce an explicit free trial option to make the experience more transparent and comfortable for everyone. Thanks again for sharing your perspective - it helps us improve both the app and how we present it.
Works, But Requires a Few Steps
I found that repeating the scan, move, and hide process several times was necessary to sufficiently sanitize the camera roll. But to my knowledge there aren’t any other apps out there that do this better!
