Yes, you have to pay to compile, but buy the unlimited version and bingo. You have a PHP editor and tester on IOS.

This app allows you one free run which is likely to be wasted on the pre-written code. When you re-write your own code, you won't be able to test if it works, no validation of the app actually works. You have to pay for either 100 uses or unlimited runs, starting at $2.99.

Pretty good so far - ext keyboard support needed
I like that this app takes you to PHP editing immediately. However, it would be nice to be able to compile a few test scripts to determine if this app is a good fit. I don't really want to have to shell out more money only to find out I have to delete the app.
But by far, the biggest problem is that the app does not respond to the cursor keys on my external keyboard. While this is mentioned in the "LIMITATIONS" section, the app also does not offer the same block selection tools popularized on all iOS devices.
I'm sure keyboard support could be added in the future, so for that I would give this app 4 stars. However, because Internet access is required to compile a script and read the reference, I only give the app 3 stars.

Great app
I actually use this app a lot now to run and check whether my code is good or not. It has helped me a lot with my learning Php and still continues to do so. Sure it takes some some to come back to to display the results but it's great otherwise. Please improving it. It needs line numbers since if something is wrong it comes with a line number and you have to count manually. If its a long code this is a waste of valuable time. Thanks.

Compiler works!
A PHP compiler in a iPhone app... very impressive. Would be nice to have a file system, HTML support and a test browser... not much to do without them. :( But this is the next best thing, at least I could test out some concepts on-the-go.
