Physiotherapy Assessment App User Reviews

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app

This is worth the money! Others have complained because the videos are available on YouTube. But on this app they are beautifully organized and also include a written explanation. So easy to find what I want….as well as even more assessments and tests that might be of help. Any organized person will love this.

Awesome content

Content is awesome, and I love physio tutors, but the app needs to be updated more frequently. I can find more stuff on their youtube channel, than I the app, which unfortunately makes the app not as useful.

Update!!!

Hi, when would we expect next update? As a purchased member, I would expect at least monthly updates with the contents uploaded in YouTube. What will be the point to purchase it for full costs if there is no regular update with the app. I can understand it is structured but it is failed in delivering the updated contents. I would suggest if you could update the assessment app regular rather than year gap, then you may have a lot of people purchasing this.

Hi Udayphysio, thank you for your feedback! The app content is updated at least once a year and has been updated 5 times now since we brought it on the market in 2019. It includes nearly all assessment basics and special tests, so there are maybe a handful of videos on YouTube that have not made its way into the app yet. What might be confusing is that you see the app version that was last updated in 2020. This has nothing to do with the content, but more with the app as a program itself.

It would be 5 stars if it was up to date

I love this app. I’ve had it for several years. I used it when I was a student and now I use to help teach my students on clinical. The only problem is, it is rarely updated, making me need to go use YouTube anyway. I also like their manual therapy app as well.

Intern survival guide

Wanna survive clinic? Wanna thrive in clinic?! Wanna feel like you have some idea what you’re doing? Wanna look less like an idiot? Look no further! Orthos can get confusing, especially with all the random names... so when I searched “Adson’s test” on YouTube for the hundredth time, rewatched these guys’ video yet again, and saw that they had an APP, I immediately downloaded it. (Ok Sure I had some hesitation bc of the price, and I’m a stingy poor student...) IT IS WELL WORTH IT. Suspect subacromial pain syndrome? There it is.. empty can, Hawkins kennedy, neer, you name it, all laid out nice and neat in this app. Have absolutely no clue where to start? Screening tests, BOOM! Want to know the clinical value of that one test, because it was positive and you’re starting to jump to conclusions? Sensitivity, specificity, likelihood ratios, they’re all there. 👏🏼 Pair this with their manual therapy app and I’m telling you, it’s easily worth the $. Thanks guys!

Hey Apologies From Saturday to Sunday we’ve had a server issue that also affected the app. All of our apps are back up and running. Apologies for the inconvenience and we’d ask to reconsider your review. In case you experience technically problems, please first email app@physiotutors.com

Well organized

This is a great way to have the assessments and special tests all in one place and organized.

Not updated

It is such an amazing app, but they don’t update it!!

Good App Need Improvement

Overall I enjoy the app and how it is organized with the YouTube’s videos on the channel. The only thing I wish is that I would be able to have these videos when I am not near WiFi. Since I am a student I travel to games and this app helps me study and the videos are amazing, but you can only access the videos when you’re connected to the internet. The only improvement I think the app needs is to somehow make the videos available offline. Then the app would be perfect.

Hi and thank you for your feedback! We assumed that most users have access to a mobile internet connection. Others have asked for an offline option, but the app would use several gigabytes of space on a phone which is what we wanted to prevent.

expensive

Not worth $50.00

Hey StudentPhysioTT What would you have liked to see in the app? Do you think it’s not clear enough what you can expect from the app in both screenshots and description? Please email your thoughts to app@physiotutors.com

Update

Use it as a reference frequently for school and since its last update unable to access it , kind of pricey for not being able to use it. Not pleased as I am on thephone with Apple trying to resolve it.

Response from developer

As you may have read on our social media accounts We had severe server issues that also affected our app. We have since moved to a new server but had to rewrite parts of the app. The new version (2.0) has been submitted and is waiting approval by apple. You should then automatically get the update. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused

Great app for PT Student

Love this app!

Excellent app!

I loved the YouTube videos from Physiotutors and now with this app not only do I have quick access to them but they are organized in a way that makes basic assessments a breeze! Thanks guys!

App needs improvement

I love physiotutors’ youtube channel so I was super excited to get the app. I like the user interface, but it’s not what I expected for $35. It’s a pretty pricey app, especially for a student. But I do understand that it costs time and money to keep updating it. As always the videos and statistical significance are great, but I would love for there to be a suggestions section for improvement on the app. A search feature would be nice as well. Overall, good app but I would like to see some improvements and maybe more common conditions.

Thanks for your review! You can always send feedback to app@physiotutors.com and we certainly appreciate the input from the community! To answer to some of your comments: there is a search feature on the front page at the top. It's also explained in the trailer. Plus you can favorite your most used tests for quick access.

Disappointed

Why did I pay for exact same YouTube videos?( I guess I do owe you for the great videos)

Response from developer

Hey there, we make no secret out of the fact that the app uses the video content from our channel but formats it and enriches the user experience of our evidence based content. It's all explained in the app description Thank you for supporting us with your purchase!
