Functional Visibility

The keys of the piano on the app are so dark that you can differentiate the keys from each other against the extremely bright falling notes, which causes me to get lost while playing. I contacted the developer and he didn’t seem to understand my issue and it remains unresolved.

Why does it cost money

It should be free to play any songs like Synthesia is better because you don’t have to pay like a month but this it’s bad unless they make it free to listen to any songs

Thousands of hours of work goes into making apps, and charging for this app is the only way is generates money

Super useful for importing midi

Great intuitive app if you want to import your own midi for learning

[Fixed] Import seems to be not working…

*Update*

Issue has been resolved! This is a great app!

Purchased the full version to be able to import my own midi files and it just simply doesn’t. I select the file and click on open and it just doesn’t do anything. *Editing to add I received a response from the Developer offering to help figure this out. That’s more than can be said for a lot of other developers.

Pay for importing a single song

Haha yeah you got me lured in, not paying for anything EVER.

I’m just a solo developer doing this in my free time. I can’t make money from anything like selling your personal data, and I don’t want to fill the app with ads. So yes, I charge for the app. Hope you understand

P

Can’t see what notes you’re meant to play and then get an ad to buy so you can’t play the whole song

Great learning tool

Its a great app to learn how to play songs. The ability to import files is a game changer and was so easy !

Thank you 🤩

Great app

I have just started to learn the Keyboard, and have started with this app. The support I got from Jacob and the developers was excellent, and made it easy to get me started. Looking forward to importing some of my songs and learning to play them on my keyboard.

False Advertising

Preview shows 800 songs available but in reality you have to pay a subscription fee to unlock even one song.

Easy tab app for piano

Would be nice if there was more distinction between the notes/colours as it can be easy to mistake the keys. Maybe add a pattern or something instead of just colours

App is great

Love the app for its simplicity. Really easy to navigate the pages.

Thank you 🤩

Easy to follow, huge song selection

As someone who has been aspiring to learn piano for most of life, I really enjoyed how intuitive this UI felt in trying to learn. I grabbed my MIDI, hooked it up to my Mac, and followed along with the tutorials in the app. The fact that it lets you import any song unlocks the possibilities to learn your own favorites instead of just classical pieces.

One suggestion I would have is helping people understand finger coordination. I have a bad habit I hitting the keys with whichever finger I find most comfortable, but learning piano requires a certain amount finger mapping as to which is the correct “finger” to use for a particular key.

If there was a “finger map” mode that showed T, I, M, R, P (5 fingers) and maybe RT vs LT for right thumb vs left thumb, and this could show up on the keys while learning — it could add more value for those looking to learn the “proper” way

Thanks for your review! I do want to look at showing finger positions. It’s something that’s not really encoded into MIDI, so wouldn’t be possible for imported songs. But for the catalog songs it should be possible

Great for Practise

This is a fantastic app, really cleanly laid out - everything is simple to use and get stuck into practiciing with. Really like the ability to import my own MIDI files.

Fantastic app

It’s such a useful utility for learning a piano, and the subscription has so many great pieces and is FAR cheaper than all the other apps I tried

Play function doesn’t work

Purchased Piano Tab on new Macbook M1. I thought the new Monterey update might be the problem but the same problem exists on my iPhone. Press play, nothing happens. Doesn’t matter which midi is used on either device. Tried looping as well. Still not working. No response as of yet through developers contact feed on Twitter. Website has no email addresses that I can see.

Don't waste money on this.

1. No trail,so you don't know how bad it is.

2.The Midi file literally cannot been opened. I downloaded many of the Midi opener, this one can't open the regular Midi file,it has to be some of the nominated Midi file. It's the worst one I tried so far.

3.I tried with some of the files come with this APP,it doesn't work like the normal Midi we see that the certain key will gradually come from behind, then appears on the keyboard. This one just suddenly shows where the key is,if the song is very quick,it can mess you us just in a blinking of your eyes.
