Playlists Management
If there is a way to rearrange playlists or sort them other than by creation date, I cannot find it. This is such a basic function that I expect any app to provide. Disappointing to say the least. V4.0.8
Worst update ever, V4.0.8
This blue icon update doesn’t connect to Bluetooth and don’t play the midi files
Great improvement
Free music downloads very quickly. Easy to navigate. Added features such as Album Select and the ability to choose piano only, piano + audio or audio only is a bonus!
Major Disappointment
I previously used the version of the iQ App (purple icon / not the current blue icon). I had mixed emotions about that version, but this new app is really frustrating. I frankly don’t know how “wood & piano guy” has found this app to work & give it a glowing review - I’m suspecting that he’s not a real customer, just someone hired to pen a positive review. I unfortunately had my iPad set to update / refresh apps automatically - BIG MISTAKE on my part. All my own music (literally thousands of songs are nowhere to be found in this app (BUT I know they are still on my iPad because I see / used them in the PianoDisc Remote app). Tech support says “check the iOS library section in the iQ app…” which I can’t seem to find when I scour through this new app. When the app updated, I was excited to see a playlist option (the primary reason I've been using PianoDisc Remote in the first place), but if I can’t find my music to add to a playlist, this app is worthless to me. I have a PiannoDisc IQ system (not Prodigy I or II).

PianoDisc iQ app
This new version is a huge upgrade (and it’s still free!).
Yeah
I can’t open and play downloaded midi files in app with update
PianoDisc iQ Player app
Wow! This app is fantastic. Very user friendly and intuitive. A complete, detailed owners guide is built in the “About App” section. It is easily searchable so I can find quickly what I am looking for. Love this!!
This app also tells me of I am connected to the piano bluetooth. Nice feature. The main volume and balance controls for piano volume, orchestration and vocals work great and allow me to play my piano at very low volume levels. Playing MIDI files is easy and pretty cool. Amazing app indeed!

Bad working app
So I use this app for a place I work which is a piano store. I have to open songs through this app cause it insists I have to do so when clicking on them, now it doesn’t even play them but insists on opening the songs on my phone that I am learning or listening to for myself to play or edit or finalize my songs. So essentially I can’t pat my songs because piano disc says so. Oh really? Then you can go to my trash and hope this app goes away from store

Recent update borked it
Recent app update no longer groups songs imported without an album, so they must be found by individual name and then grouped into a playlist (not terrible but annoying given how it used to work). Worse, it seems to have no way to navigate back from the radio. That might not be an issue on some phones but means that for most devices the only way to exit the radio is to close the app. Worst, it now will not play midi files unless it is connected via midi. This makes it pretty incompatible with a lot of older systems and other than the ability to set delay removes any reason to use this app over a regular media player.
Apparently, this kind of thing is a recurring problem with updates for this app. I highly recommend disabling app updates once you have a working version especially if you are using an iPad like me.

As usual, horrible update
This update is completely trash. I don’t know how these guys do not test this out before being released. Destroyed my midi files.
I was actually going to update my system to the prodigy II now I’m thinking of ripping the system out and putting a QRS Pianomation system in or just going out and buying a Yamaha Enspire.

The most recent update is trash
This app is already slightly tough to use, and it took a long time to get it where I was happy with it. Then a new update came out and not only changed things, it broke the best feature which was midi output. The app has gotten unusable now and I’m looking for alternatives.
Horrible
I cannot all of a sudden connect to my piano. I have never had this issue. My Bluetooth and WiFi are on and it says I need to connect. It’s Christmas Day we want our Christmas Piano Music. I have wasted almost 2 hours on this. A HUGE disappointment.
Bad
This is the worst of the worst of the worst. Never works! Never user friendly. Useless!
Every other update ruins the midi functionality
This app works well for a while, then they will issue an update that causes the MIDI to be garbage. A few weeks/months later it will be fixed via update, until the next update comes out which always seems to ruin it again.
When it works well, I really enjoy this app. But when it doesn’t, it’s unusable.
I do wish they would come up with a way to output the PianoDisc audio files direct to Bluetooth midi though, that would be the final missing piece in my opinion.
