A music theatre actor’s best friend
The track quality is great, and the library is vast. The app gives you the ability to change the tempo and key of the tracks as well as set markers for rehearsing. I use PianoTrax to film self tapes, prepare for auditions, and learn shows.
Game Changer. I can’t live without it!
This app is a game changer. I am a voice teacher and being able to instantly download tracks for my students has been incredibly useful. The customer service is wonderful and so fast! (thank you Tom!) I could not run my small voice studio without PianoTrax! Having a yearly subscription is a wonderful addition. I also think this subscription would be very useful to college and high school students who plan to pursue a career in the arts. You can explore new songs, find new composers, get perfect audition cuts, and have top quality sound with the click of a few buttons! Highly recommend!

Useful for jobbing Acors
I’ve used this app many times for audition tracks and to beef out my rep book. As someone who doesn’t play piano it’s great to know I can probably find what I need here and I can also transpose it to fit well with my voice. What’s not to like?
Life-saver for auditions
I use this app to record self-tapes — it’s helped me tremendously over the years to have the capacity to playback selections in different keys. They sometimes even have a shorter cut that is super useful when the submission requires 32 bars, etc.
I enjoy the capacity to slow down speed in the app and wish it was easier to download the tracks to my laptop with the adjusted speed. These adjustments you still have to request when downloading, which I tend to override because of turnover time for auditions (I record on my phone and use my laptop for playback, so cannot use the app when recording).
Otherwise, this has been super useful as a tool for auditions. I even use it to practice for live auditions, just so I can get a better feel for the accents and tempo markings in the score. Thanks for a reliable, flexible app with a huge selection of scores! Even though I use it for MT, I’ve even seen some opera on here…

Pianotrax is Fabulous!
As a Cabaret Director this saved my work during the pandemic and continues to make my work a lot easier. Great song selections with some great obscure songs I need.

Exactly what I needed!
I needed a few piano tracks for a show that I’m putting on and I was able to find exactly what I needed. It was a bonus to find the melody tracks as well! I find this app very helpful and easy to use!
Great app for rehearsals or auditions
Wonderful app to get songs for auditions or to rehearse numbers in your current show. Part tracks are very helpful. I like that the tenor tracks are recorded in the right octave. Catalog is constantly growing.
Only downside, is if you are using it to rehearse for a show, some of the dance breaks are edited out. Would be good to have both options on each song if they do edit out the dance breaks.

I love Pianotrax.com and their app! They are the best quality tracks out there at an affordable price and the app is efficient and easy to use. All of your purchased tracks are accessible when you login. You are able to download offline, transpose, and make tempo changes on the fly, which is hugely helpful! A great tool for both studio teachers and performers.
