Confusing

How do I do it for free?? I was asked to leave a review before even getting started lol.

Response from developer

The Basic mode is free. You can select it from the Picker mode selector on top left. Pro and Max modes are subscription based. The leaving the review is optional. If you cannot find the Basic mode you can reach out directly: support@pickeraiapp.com

this sucks…

i tried the app because i’m looking for my best photos, so i started setting up and multiple times it asked me to pay for a subscription. i wanted the free version, so i pressed the x, and then it told me to pick a certain number of photos, which was fairly high. so i spent at least 20 minutes going through my whole camera roll, trying to find the photos i wanted to add, and i had about 90 picked. then i went to press continue, and it takes me to the subscription page again. i press the x but it wont let me continue, so i find the option for basic, then it automatically removes all the photos i carefully picked out and says i can only pick 4. i wasted so much time picking photos, it should have warned me i could only pick 4. thanks a lot, immediately deleting this app.

Response from developer

Yeah agree! There was a bug but since your review we’ve fixed this and improved the flow so there’s no confusion. There’s now a seamless transition between modes. We’re continuously updating the app. Hope to welcome you back in. If you have any other feedback or questions please reach out to us: support@pickeraiapp.com

Won’t even work anymore

Even after paying app won’t work anymore. A waste of money!

Response from developer

Hi Brittany, We never heard back from you after our response to the email you sent us. We’re always open to feedback and support to make sure you have a great experience in the app. Feel free to reach out again: support@pickeraiapp.com

Terrible app

this app is terrible. As soon as you download the app and ask you a couple questions and then I ask you to leave a review before you’ve even used the app and then it’ll have you choose photos for it to pick from and then I will ask you what the photos are for and then try to make you pay a monthly or yearly subscription for them and you can’t even use the app unless you pay $50 for it do not download this app is terrible

Response from developer

This is incorrect. The app has the Basic mode that is free. Not even a free trial but fully free so you can try it. Picker Pro and Picker Max are subscription based and allow you to compare 200 photos each time with the most intelligent Picker AI. $50 is also false. We don’t even have that pricing in the app. If you’re reading this you can check for yourself to see. If you need help or have questions you can always reach out to support@pickeraiapp.com

Can’t upload any photos at all

Completely useless, I can’t upload any photos. What’s cute though is I can try the app with 4 photos and when you purchase the pro to upload more photos, it doesn’t allow you too. I’m requesting money back.

Response from developer

Thanks for using Picker AI! Please make sure that on the Picker Mode, the Pro or Max is selected so you can upload more photos. Feel free to reach out to us and we will gladly help to sort this out :) support@pickeraiapp.com

UX and Picker/Ranking needs great improvements

What’s frustrating is that even paying for Max - there’s no ability to review previously ranked pics or ability to save a subset for reference when you go back to photos app. There’s no way to tie anything across the typical work flow from photos the picker ai app and the social media app to use when applicable. Even the option of allowing up to 200 pics to rank becomes pointless and no intuitive experience to take action following the rank completed and it’s so annoying that the ranking is saved or can’t be referenced again after leaving the app to start a new ranking. Really unsure how aside from ranking the pics this adds much value. Can’t renew for next month as the app currently functions.

Thanks for your detailed feedback Mikey! Great news: All the points you mentioned are already set to be released in the next app update. If you have any other feedback or feature requests feel free to email us at support@pickeraiapp.com

No trial option

I can’t even see if I like the app without paying. They don’t offer any trial to try it. Why would anyone pay for something they haven’t tried?

Feature placed behind paywall

Almost all the important features are behind a paywall. That's asinine and to now suggest it's free? That's not right.

Can not be tested without paying

The app can not be tested before buying and it prompts the user to rate it before the user have even got a single understanding of how good the app works, so I rate it 1.

Best app for picking best photos!!

Saves me so much time when I take thousands of photos and don’t know what to post!! Seriously so easy to use and works so well. Recommend 🤌🏼

Response from developer

Glad to hear that!

Idk

When you ask for a review the second I open the app it screams desperation, idk what else to say. Haven’t even pressed a button yet and you want a rating, 1 star there you go.

Response from developer

That's not accurate. We don't ask for rating the second you open the app. As of now, we only ask for rating once and it's completely optional. You can simply skip the standard default Apple App review dialog and proceed.

awful

before you can even set up an account or anything else it makes you rate the app with a review before you can even navigate the one awful sales tactic in a scam. Also, there are no free options for a trial. It’s all subscription based before you even know if you like the app

Response from developer

This is factually inaccurate. Here’s why: 1) The rating is optional. You can simply skip the standard default Apple App review dialog 2) There is Picker Basic that’s free and does not require even a trial so you get the idea of how the app works

I would not spend a dollar for this app.

I saw no proof that the AI actually sorted images by quality. There were clear miscalculations and I would not spend a dollar on the app.

Response from developer

Hi Aisa 141, Here’s how the ranked results are produced: - Each photo is scored out of 100 with detailed precision and the grid is ranked from highest to lowest. You’ll also see a concise explanation for the top picks. - There could be up to 3 analysis cards that provide difference perspectives on what each side thinks as top 3. We've improved this experience in the latest version 2.5 so now there's a unified Analysis card to avoid any confusion. - For best results, provide detailed description of your goal in the prompt field in max mode. It meaningfully improves accuracy with very similar photos. Feel free to reach out to us with any other questions or feedback: support@pickeraiapp.com

Thirsty and scammy

I didn't want to but I have to agree with the other reviews. Immediately asks for a rating right during the onboarding tutorial before you've even used the app. Ties to get you to create an account without any explanation beyond “personalization.” Gatekeeping pricing and overall a poorly explained and designed UX. Lots of dark patterns. Stay away!

Response from developer

Hi n681ma, A couple of clarifications: - The rating prompt is Apple’s in‑app review sheet. It’s optional, dismissible, and never blocks progress. - You do not need an account to use Picker AI. There’s a Skip option and you can get results. Sign‑in is only for personalization of quick picks, and overall AI response accuracy. It’s not required. - Pricing is shown transparently on the paywall, with monthly/annual options. The Basic picker is free and lets you try the core experience first with less advanced Picker AI. If you have specific suggestions, feel free to reach out to us: support@pickeraiapp.com p.s. we've made significant improvements to the way we handle and analyze large number of photos. Check out the latest version 2.5

Couldn’t use

Tried using the max quantity and app always crashed

Response from developer

Hi Melisa, we made a lot of improvements for specific cases that affected some iPhones. Please check out the latest version :)

Crashes every time I try to get it to pick a picture for me

Title says it all, it does not work. Waste of 17.99

Response from developer

Please try the latest version 2.4. It came with a lot of enhancements especially for certain devices and scenarios

Rating before I️ use?

It’s making me rate this app before I’ve used it. Not a fan.

Response from developer

Hi, Bgshggzgh. To clarify, the app does not force anyone to leave any ratings.

Very good!!

It’s a shame that in the basic and pro versions we can upload as many photos as we want, but in the max version (which is the most expensive), we can only upload 4. Otherwise its very good!

Response from developer

Thanks for your great review! We took your feedback and made a lot of enhancements. Now max has double the photo limit of pro and it’s also 10x more accurate.

Handy App

Good app, would be good if we can upload multiple photos and it will rank the photos best to worst.

Response from developer

Much appreciated and thanks for leaving a review! Great news, in the latest version of Picker AI (1.1), you can select up to 12 photos and it will rank them just like you suggested! The Picker AI model is also more powerful and faster than before. Check it out and feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback: support@pickeraiapp.com
