Amazing app!

Really great app and was super easy to navigate. It’s simple to use and has genuinely helped me whenever I go out to eat. Would definitely recommend!

Very Useful app

Very useful app for working out places to go with my autistic son who seeks sensory food and is very specific! 😊

Great app

The app’s idea is amazing, I have not seen anything remotely similar to this in a while - coming from the ARFID community myself. The referral program is a nice touch too, and the ui itself is clean and easy to understand!

User experience

The app is very easy to navigate through and it gives you a lot of space for personalisation. I’m currently trying to stick to the diet and it is exactly what I needed to make my life easier!

What a great app - recommend!

What a fantastic app! It makes my life much easier. I love the interface and how easy it is to use. Definitely can recommend!

I have IBS and this makes my life so much easier.

My new favourite app. As someone who is constantly having to think about where to eat this app makes my life so much simpler.

It’s super easy to use and very intuitive.

Hello, thank you for the feedback!

Great App for Dietary Restriction Dining

It’s a great idea, and it lets you scan a menu and filter out the dishes you can and can’t eat based on your preferences and dietary requirements you input at the start. This makes eating out significantly easier, and it can even scan menus in other languages, ie. Spanish, making travelling & eating out less stressful.

Good afternoon, I'm glad you found it useful!

Really useful!!

It has great questions for the food profile, I especially love the ability to mark some foods as “sometimes okay”, I’ve never seen that before!! Great app!

This app will hurt people.

I think this app creates more restrictions on people with eating disorders. The mindset of ‘see what you can and can’t eat’ isn’t helping anyone with an ed and should not be advertised in that way. It is fuelling anyone who downloads it with an ed by creating an environment where calories and restriction is the main focus. The creator clearly has no understanding of any eating disorders wether that be arfid or anorexia if they are targeting this app to people with these mental disabilities. It will do more harm than good in the long run and there needs to be more research into these disorders. AI doesn’t need to be in everything, we all have eyes and can read a menu, people with ed’s know what they will or won’t eat, and it changes day to day. There is no need for this app and the creator is doing much more harm by marketing this app to vulnerable individuals.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely want to make Picky as useful as possible, and we’re sorry to hear that it didn’t meet your expectations. We weren’t able to identify an account associated with this review on our end, so we’d really appreciate it if you could get in touch with us at our support email - hello.picky.ai@gmail.com, and tell us a little more about your experience and what you think we could improve. Patronising

I am utterly disappointed, as a representative for adults and children with ARFID in the UK I was initially hopeful. My team and I are constantly looking for new tools and resources we can share with struggling individuals, and what I found on this app was bluntly patronising. It is very clear that the creators of this app haven’t dealt with ARFID themselves as they have assumed that this idea would be in anyway beneficial. Individuals with ARFID struggle immensely daily and a part of that struggle is being understood. This app has completely missed the opportunity to authentically want to support people struggling with food and instead benefit from it for their own personal gain. Just shameful.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to write this. First, I'm sorry the app left such a feeling for you. Picky was built to help people I was growing up with to navigate the anxiety of ordering, not to speak over the ARFID community. I'd like to understand where it fell short so it can actually be useful rather than presumptuous. With that said, more exciting updates and changes to both the app and models are coming. Awful App - wish I could give 0 stars

I’m quite a picky eater, so when I came across this app, I thought I’d give it a try as I was hoping it would make finding foods and meals I actually like a lot easier. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the app helpful at all. In fact, I would say it’s probably one of the least helpful apps I’ve tried for picky eaters.

I also found the app quite difficult and frustrating to navigate, which made the whole experience even harder. I feel like the person behind an app specifically designed for picky eaters should ideally understand what it’s actually like to be a picky eater themselves. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like the app understood the challenges or preferences that come with being a genuinely picky eater.

I really wanted to like this app and hoped it would be useful, but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me.

Sorry it didn't work for you; that is the kind of feedback I appreciate the most right now. Could you share what felt unhelpful or hard to navigate? Trying to build this well, and specifics would help a lot. Feel free to reach out via hello.picky.ai@gmail.com

Very Useful Abroad

This app was especially helpful when I was travelling abroad and didn’t understand the local language. This country had some food I’d never heard of before, so helping me understand what I should and shouldn’t order was amazing.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it!

Amazing

Really useful app, especially if you’re picky with food or have allergies. You add what you like, dislike and can’t eat, and it recommends restaurants and specific dishes that actually suit you. Makes choosing where and what to eat so much easier. Definitely recommend!

Thank you Kostiantyn, much appreciated!

VK

Such a wonderful app! I’m currently on a diet and have a limited list of foods prescribed by my nutritionist. With this app, I can confidently order meals just like I would through Deliveroo or Glovo, without worrying about exceeding my daily calorie intake. It makes healthy eating so much easier and more convenient! Thank you, Picky team!!
