CLEARER PICTURES FOR OVER 1,100 WORDS Every picture is now easier to match to its word at a glance—no more guessing what it is meant to show. Cards now scroll properly at every text size. A CLEARER START FOR NEW LEARNERS The quick level check now comes first, so your starting level fits you from the very first set. Choosing your own level is still one tap away. Also in this update: • Look up any word in a definition or example sentence while you are still trying to recall the answer — words that would give the answer away stay closed until you reveal it. • Readings are spoken correctly again for words listed with a suffix, such as 練習 (renshuu). • The level check no longer shows a fixed number of questions — it ends as soon as it has enough information to place you. • New learners now start at N5 by default, instead of N4. • A small number of words that a single image can't reliably represent — counters, dates, and bare numerals — have been removed.
