About

Some of your photos never had a fighting chance at a timestamp. Friends dumped the trip photos into a WhatsApp group, an old shoot came back as a folder of scans, an export quietly stripped the dates - and now a whole batch sits jumbled in your library, or worse, stacked on a single identical second. Pictimer gives them back a believable order. You can't recover the exact moment each photo was taken, but you usually know the shape of it: the hike started around 8 and you were back at the car by 4. Tell Pictimer the start and end of the batch and it spreads evenly spaced timestamps across every shot in between. Working directly in your Apple Photos library: • Sort a batch by filename, capture date, or file size, then set its first and last timestamp — Pictimer calculates the interval and writes the rest • Lock any two of start, end, and interval; Pictimer works out the third • Spot photos that share one identical timestamp — a classic sign of stripped metadata — and re-time the whole group at once These aren't the original capture times, and nothing can bring those back. But a sensible order beats a wall of duplicates, and for a carefully kept library, that's the difference between chaos and calm. Pictimer is the companion to Ditto. Where Ditto copies the date and location from an original photo onto your edits and AI creations, Pictimer steps in when there is no original left to copy from. Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
