About

Who doesn't know the situation when you took innumerable number of images. Now they should be stored, e.g. on a NAS in the local network. But not all in one directory but in folders sorted by date and location of shot. This app was created to store pictures and videos in a directory structure built by image data. Images and vides of the photo app are displayed. By tapping on an image it is selected for transfer. On the settings page the base directory is selected, beneath which a directory structure is built up. Data, e.g. date and location of shot, are extracted from the image. In the definition for the directory structure all entries with '%(...)' are replaced by image data representing them. The character '/' separates different level of directories. Not only directory names could be defined but also file names. If the requested information is not available they are replaced by standard values, like e.g. "UnknownLocation". With the option "overwrite existing files" it is defined if existing files in the same directories and same name are replaced or if a unique name should generated by the app which is than used for storing. This situation could e.g. occur when the same images are selected and transferred several times. It is also possible to select images in the photo app and transfer them with the "share" dialog to the app for storage.
