App was great but now keeps crashing

Never had a single issue with the app until the migration that the library did a couple of weeks ago. Now it won’t load and just keeps crashing.

Useful

Very ideal and useful! Gets buggy now and again but works good enough for me.

Very good app!

I don’t understand the complaints about the PPLD app. For me, it’s very good. You can request books, videos and the like. The app notifies you when your requests are in transit or ready for pickup, when checkouts are due and much more. The only reason I gave it 4 stars (4.5 would be my choice, if possible) is because I would love to see my checkout history.

Needs work

Just needs better notifications

So many bugs

But the website is a mess also. Often things are available on Libby through the library, but they don’t show up in your search results. It often defaults to only physical materials when you’re looking for more. It just feels like they have a very antiquated system that needs to be redone. It’s not working anymore.

So convenient

Requests and renewals are very convenient.

It’s Convenient When It Works

It seems like there is something wrong or broken with the app. It can be great when it works but when it’s not working you can tell and it hits the app hard.

Works great

This app is good for what it is. Rachael9390: When you reserve an ebook you use the Libby app to access your ebook. PPLD app is how you find and put holds on materials.

App Still Needs Fixing.

App doesn’t work all that well. Can’t see all checkouts and holds plus searching for books isn’t working. There seems to be the same issue with the app happening on different devices.

Does what I need it to do

It’s easy to place holds and find what I’m looking for. I really like being able to link accounts so I can see what my family members also have out so I remember to return the books on time

Garbage app

Doesn’t work, can’t sign in, doesn’t scan barcodes blah blah spaghetti code programmed by children.

Ebook Holds

I have no issues using the app to check out books or place holds on different titles. However, I have an issue every time an ebook becomes available that I am unable to get it sent to my kindle.
I will get the email telling me my book is available to borrow but when I log into the app and go to my holds my only options are to view my hold or suspend my hold. I have to use my computer to actually borrow the book. It would be so nice to be able to do it all from the app.
It’s been months of this, why has this bug/issue with the app not been addressed?!

Years of waiting for basic fixes

Years ago I was told they were working on fixes so that you could filter your checkouts and holds lists by physical versus digital books. Yet they are still one giant list. Also, the location for your hold pickups says Pikes Peak Library District. That’s the entire library system, not a branch. I have to use the actual website site to do anything of use. The app is sluggish. Most of the features are useless. Last app fixes say there were improvements to make the barcode kiosk friendly, but they still don’t scan there or at a manned desk.

Can’t Reserve or Hold Anything!

I’ve requested to hold three books and have been able to hold 0 books. What’s the point of having this as an option if it doesn’t work? That’s the only reason I downloaded the app.

Please add lists to app!

I really wish the app had the ability to access and add to your reading lists. We use the app all the time but it is very frustrating to have to go to the full website to access your lists.

New version is awful

Though the new version may be visually nicer than the last it is definitely lacking in ability. In general this new version needs A LOT of work!!

Good but...

I like a lot of the things this app does. But please, please sort our holds by their order in the queue, so we can see what should be available next. I rarely use the app—I have to go to the website (from my phone) to get the info I need.

New App Problem

I am having a problem logging in to my account. When I go to the login page, and I tap on the member login field, nothing happens. Same with the PIN-field. All other aspects of the app work fine but that’s a small consolation if I can’t login to my account. Also, I tapped on the app support link and was taken to a blank page. That’s not very helpful.
I always keep apps up to date, but with this one it seems that updating has put me out of business.

Fails to show or notify you that your request is ready for pickup

The only function I use on the app is requesting materials to check out from the library. That being said, the old app would show you when your requested item was in, and tell you what day you had to pick it up by before it was transferred to the next person requesting it. I have been using this app for a couple of weeks now and it doesn’t show you in the app or notify you through the app that your request is available for pickup. You now have to stop by the library to see if the item is in or not to try and make sure you don’t get to the requested material to late. Please fix.

Much Improved!!

This app is considerably better than the last. Thanks!! One area to consider improving is the Requests section. The app no longer re-orders the available holds to the top and I can’t figure out a way to easily see the pick-up-by dates for my available holds.
