App not working after last update

Hello Ahmed,

I hope you’re doing well.

I recently updated your app Pilot Hours, and unfortunately after the update the app no longer works properly. It keeps opening and closing repeatedly and I’m unable to use it.

What’s really frustrating is that I’ve lost all my logged flight hours and records that I had saved in the app.

I wanted to report this issue and ask if there is any way to recover the data or if a fix/update is coming soon.

Thank you for your time, and I hope this can be resolved.

Best regards,
Abdullah

Response from developer

Hello Abdullah, Thank you for reaching out and reporting this issue. I sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you've had with the recent update. I'm aware of the crash issue that affected version 1.2, and I've already submitted a fix (version 1.2.2). We are currently waiting for Apple to approve the update, and it should be available on the App Store soon. Please keep an eye out for the update. Regarding your data: I understand how valuable your logged flight hours are, and I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Due to the app's privacy-focused design, all data is stored locally on your device and I do not have any access to user data on my end. This means I'm unable to recover data remotely. If you had previously exported a backup from the app, you can simply import your data through the Settings screen in the Import section. I also want to let you know that Pilot Hours will be sunset on 28 February 2026. I encourage you to download our new app Wingbook, which offers an improved experience with more features. You'll be able to migrate your data seamlessly to Wingbook. Again, I apologize for this experience and appreciate your patience. Best regards, Ahmed
