What can Pilot Roaster Shop do?
Pilot Roaster Shop allows you to record, edit, analyze, save, and recall coffee roasting profiles. It enables automatic roasting based on recorded data and provides real-time monitoring of your roaster.
How does Pilot Roaster Shop connect to my roaster?
The app connects to your PROBAT roaster via Wi-Fi. This allows you to move freely with your mobile device while monitoring and controlling the roasting process.
Can I edit recorded roasting profiles?
Yes, all memorized roasting recipes are freely editable at a later stage. You can also add useful information like batch weight or green coffee sort.
Does Pilot Roaster Shop replace the roast master?
No, the software explicitly states it cannot replace the roast master. Roasting is a craft requiring experience and passion, and the operator can always intervene even in automatic mode.
What information is displayed during roasting?
During roasting, the app displays current product temperature, temperature development rate (TDI), elapsed roasting time, gas burner performance, and drive statuses. It also illustrates the roasting profile and TDI graphically.
How is the roast history managed?
The 'History' section contains all roasts produced on the connected roasting machine. You can filter entries by production date to easily find and reuse past roasting profiles as new recipes.
