User reviews

Numeric entry please

I agree with the other reviewer of this app. What it does is important for flight planning. While it may be cool to have sliders, it is difficult to put your input data into it accurately. The ability to just put the numbers in directly would lead to a lot less frustration in using it. I cannot imagine what it would be like in a small plane at 2000ft bouncing around. I am using it as a check on my calculations. A sanity check that my working is correct. Thankfully on the ground.

Poor UI, missing compass card corrections

Targets for +~ at far too small to use is any sort of turbulence.. the slider number should not be against a transient block as contrast itโ€™s poor, are to read in Sunny cockpit. Numbers should be 2x larger or UI elements should be configurable.

Missing ability for compass card deviations to be configured by aircraft reg.

How to make a perfect app bad!

I have the plastic plotter. Really great.
Have used the app frequently - also great.
BUT, hate the new sliders!!
Try getting an accurate wind heading on the ground, let alone in a cockpit in bumpy conditions. Ugghh!!
Please, bring back the text entry, please!

Needs work

I was disappointed with how basic this app is. Was hoping it would show headwind and crosswind components based on entering W/V, TAS and heading. Needs work.

Pilot Windstar

Brilliant app and so easy to use.
