About

Ping is location sharing for a small circle of people you already trust. Create a Space, invite the people who belong in it, and see where everyone is on one map — with the conversation in the same place, so "where are you?" and the answer never live in two different apps. BUILT AROUND CONSENT, NOT SURVEILLANCE • Pause sharing at any time. It's absolute, it's instant, and your Space is told. • Hide from one Space while staying visible in another. • See who has looked you up, and when. • Delete your account yourself, in two taps. No email, no support ticket. PLACES Save the places that matter — home, work, school — and let your Space know when someone gets there, without anybody having to ask or answer. BUILT TO BE QUIET Ping reports less often when you're still and more often when you're moving, so a day of sharing costs a fraction of your battery. NO ADS. NO ANALYTICS. NO TRACKING. Ping contains no third-party code at all. Nothing follows you across other apps or websites. Location trails are deleted after 30 days at the most. For adults, 18+.

What's New in Ping

1.1

September 28, 2026

Orbit is now Ping. Same app, same people, same Spaces — new name, and the sign-in screen now wears the app's own icon instead of a stand-in. Everything you had set up is exactly where you left it, and you stay signed in. Sharing only while the app is open? Ping now says so plainly, and shows you how to fix it. With “While Using” your pin stops moving the moment you close the app, so your Space was being shown a position that had quietly stopped being true. Chat, Members and your account settings work exactly as before either way.
