May 31, 2026

Follow boards from people you trust. Boards you follow now appear in their own section on your profile, and follower counts are visible on board cards and detail screens. When you visit a board that allows follows, you'll see a Follow button right in the header. New to Pingo? During sign-up we now ask how you heard about us — takes one tap and helps us grow the community. We also polished the check-in and rating experience: your recent visits are listed right in the venue sheet, and the rating emoji cards now slide in with a satisfying spring animation. Bug fixes and performance improvements.

THE APP I NEEDED

I had this whole system going: screenshot the reel, save it on Instagram, maybe throw it in my Notes app if I really wanted to remember it. But when it came time to decide on a place to go to or try, my friends and I would still scramble every time.

I know this app’s going to blow up soon because it’s everything I need for saving spots I see on Instagram and Tiktok. The sharing aspect is SUPER EASY. I can easily send reels and tiktoks to Pingo, and it pulls the actual place’s info automatically… pictures, reviews, directions, EVERYTHING!

Now my saved posts on Instagram are just for content I like, not a second to-do list I never check. And when a friend sends me something I want to try, I just save it directly into Pingo instead of screenshotting it and forgetting about it in a few days.

And honestly the best part is just having the map. When I'm already out and can't decide I can see everything I've been meaning to go to nearby. It's simple but it's the thing that makes me actually use it instead of just opening it once and forgetting it exists. It’s also super fun to see what places my friends save too since I’m nosey like that ;)
