Clever

This is a really smart branding tactic by Pinhook. I really like being able to view the story behind each of my pinhook bottles and see what thoroughbred they are linked to. I saw some other reviews with AR issues but it appears to work fine for me. However, I would like some more content in the app like maybe the ability to book a tour at Castle & Key or info on future releases. Lots of untapped potential here.

Did not work for me. At all.

Not sure the issue, but scan it label(tried every inch) and literally nothing happened. Not some iPhone newbie here. iOS 15 on iPhone 13.

Neat idea. Failed execution.

App is broken

App doesn’t work due to camera not being recognized, so no AR features work. I purchased a single barrel offering and wanted to see the info, but couldn’t.

Hi Bourbon_drinker, So sorry about the poor experience. The camera malfunction was due to an issue while updating app with new whiskeys on friday. It has been fixed, however, our app cannot recognize individual single barrel releases yet. We are hoping to be able to push the functionality to do so in the future, and will keep you informed as to the progress. Again, sorry for the issue.

The iPhone camera won’t integrate or open up on the app. Looking forward to a fix, then I’ll re-evaluate.

Hey lafew2, this is Charles at Pinhook. So sorry for the poor experience, I was updating the app on Friday night and forgot to enter a value which rendered the camera black. I have fixed the issue this morning. Again, sorry for the issue and hope you have a smooth experience moving forward.

App is garbage

Lots of bugs all I saw for the update was bug fix after fix and I can’t even use the app properly it will not allow me to look up anything about my bourbon I had just purchased

UPDATE: Can’t get the app to work??

UPDATE: 6/29:After a developer response that they have updated the app I reattempted the AR functionality and it worked as advertised. Very cool and very informative!!!

ORIGINAL POST: I’ve been trying to get the app to work with 2 bottles of Bohemian Bourbon to no avail... :-(

Delicious juice delivered in a stunning bottles!

Pinhook Bourbon & Rye deliver on all fronts, delicious juice that comes with a backstory and possibly a Kentucky Derby winner on the bottle. I love that you can follow the thoroughbred on each bottle as they race through their career. The bourbon & Rye in the bottle also delivers even though each is a unique, one of a kind expression. Well done guys, this app keeps it all coming together.
