Meld

Also, you can’t pass Mel in this game doesn’t stop you from passing me that you’ve been also a no-no learn the rules of the game

DOES NOT ALWAYS COUNT ALL POINTS

Used to really like this app but I will no longer play as it failed to count my partner’s pinochle. Also, I feel the points assigned seem to always skew very high.

Pinochle Classic

I really enjoy this app because most of the other games i play don’t play fair at all. I played one app and after playing about 100 hands, i won 9 games only and the others would get fantastic hands and I only had maybe 5 great hands. You want to play but it’s frustrating and with this app it’s realistic and sometimes you win and sometimes you dot.

too bad , could of been great

can't turn off all hints, can't change names and pics if people, worst of all can't turn off ads.

Crashes

I like the game, but it keeps crashing on me. And then have to delete it and reinstall it. There are times when the power on the left leads two cards come out at once, and then it messes the rest of hand up in the game crashes.

Review

Love the game hate, hate, hate the interruptions in between!!!!!!!!!

Too many ads

Ads suck constant & annoying

My favorite card game!

A good time when I play this game! Having grown up in Michigan, playing card games was something we always did! At 76 not many card players around!

Daily fun!

This game is very additive. I play it every night before bed to wind down. It’s very similar to the card game and I love that you can adapt the game to fit your style (I prefer double deck).

Levels

I love that I can choose the level of play.

Too many ads

Ads in between every hand make it difficult to play. I have to close the app and reopen it every time. Am I doing something wrong?

So so

Partner makes bad passes when trump called. Miss families a lot

Love the game

I enjoy playing pinochle on this app. I play on my iPad, but I can’t complete a game because it just goes right back to my homepage on my iPad instead of letting me finish the game it’s a big hassle!

Love it, BUT

Love this version but the ads are most annoying. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.

Jeff—I’d pay for an ad-free version. Read the 2 reviews below to fix some priority issues.

Below written on Jan 9 by Chuc232 and are my exact two complaints. Today I called spades trump, holding two Jack of diamonds. Partner had both queen of spades but only passed one and a random diamond. Frustrating. The other complaint he notices is partner holding card for 2 Pt marriages and passing back aces, holding losers and passing back trick takers.

Work on that and you’ll get 5 stars! I would also pay for a this app to get rid of ads.

From Chuc232:

Pretty decent compared to several others, but needs some logic adjustments.

Game often holds half a pinochle when I name Spades or Diamonds, but won’t pass the other half in opposite suite. Ie: I call spades, computer holds Jack of Diamonds but passes me Jack Hearts instead. I’ve done undo and tried to entice by calling Diamonds but then it won’t pass Queen Spades.

When computer win bid and I pass several Aces, it will pass back two aces to keep a 2 pt marriage instead of keeping Aces as trick winners.

Never played pinochle before?

This is a great game to play if you’ve never played pinochle before. I feel like it does need an update though. The analytics button is very helpful for newbies like me and everything is very detailed and self explanatory. I know quite a few people who play this game and love it. On the whole, this is a satisfying game and is easy to use.

Intrusive Ads Ruin Experience

Every round is followed by a 30 second or longer ad that cannot be skipped or deactivated through a purchase. Completely ruins the experience of playing the game and would recommend finding a different app for pinochle.

Shame as the Cribbage app by the same developer is great.

Changed for the worst

Used to love this app but the changes made to it seem random and at times, playout in no way resembles actual playout if playing with people in the real world.

Comments

Great pinochle game. 2 observations:

1) the bot will play an ace for a point rather than saving for a winner

2) the bot will hold 10’s as the winning bid and pass J’s & 9’s losing point opportunities

Other than that Bot plays like a real experienced player

Great for Learning

I needed to learn how to play and this was very helpful especially after watching a few YouTube videos. It definitely helped me play at a reasonable level quickly. The “Hint” feature is nice but eventually one will ignore its advice.
