About

Pins is a private journal of places. Drop a pin on a restaurant, a bench, a bookshop, a viewpoint. Give it a name, a rating, and the notes you actually want to remember: what to order, when to go, who you were with. Over time your map becomes a record of a city as you know it, not as a review site knows it. Rate places on your own terms Every pin gets a five-star rating. Categories can carry their own criteria, so restaurants can be scored on taste and service while parks are scored on quiet. Ratings you have already given are kept even if you change a pin's category. Categories you define Make a category, give it a color and an emoji, and your pins take that mark on the map. Nothing is preset, because your city is not anyone else's. Built for the map Pins change form as you zoom: a small dot across the city, a colored circle across a neighborhood, a full label with the name at street level. Long-press to drop a pin where you are looking; press and hold one to move it. Photos with the place Attach up to ten photos to a pin. Swipe, pinch and zoom them full screen. Private by design There is no account and no server. Everything lives on your iPhone and syncs through your own private iCloud, where no one else, including the developer, can see it. Export everything as a JSON file whenever you like.
