It’s just a book online, no narration
Useless for students who aren’t totally fluent readers. I contacted the developers. They have no intention of adding a read aloud function, which means this series is completely inaccessible to children with Dyslexia. Ever heard of the ADA?

Fascinating look at western expansion
A great "nuts and bolts" look at how we went West. This app takes you along on wagon trains with videos, photos and interactive charts. A look at real pioneers and the way they lived, and the different reasons people chose to go West. A fascinating excursion on this app.

Great interactives bring a tough topic to life, my kids got right into this one and were drawn in by the visuals, but stayed engaged with the playful and informative writing.
Good intro to westward expansion
The animations of early settler houses and wagons were pretty cool, helped paint the story of this time period. There is a lot of info in this app, good for American history unit.
