About

Arriving in a new country means a hundred practical questions at once. How do I see a doctor? What is a rental contract supposed to say? Which office issues my residence card? PIPE answers them in plain language, in your own language, and it keeps working when you have no signal. PIPE is free, needs no account, and shows no ads. WHAT YOU GET - Short lessons on the things that matter first, written to be read on a phone - Six topic areas: Healthcare & Well-being, Housing & Living, Jobs & Skills, Language & Education, Legal Rights & Admin, and Community & Culture - Quick word games and quizzes that teach the local vocabulary you will actually hear at an office or a clinic - Small real-life tasks to check off as you complete them - Trusted local links for your country, kept in one place BUILT FOR FIVE COUNTRIES Content is written separately for Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy and Spain, because the rules genuinely differ. You pick your country once when you open the app, and everything you see after that is specific to it - the offices, the documents, the deadlines. IN YOUR LANGUAGE The app is available in 32 languages. Lessons are verified in English and in the local language of your country; other languages are machine-translated, and the app tells you clearly when you are reading a translation so you can judge it for yourself. WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET The full guide is stored on your device, so you can read it on the bus, in a waiting room, or anywhere your data has run out. When you are online, PIPE quietly refreshes its content in the background. AT YOUR OWN PACE Tell the app a little about your situation - family, work, studies, where you live - and it highlights the modules most relevant to you. Nothing is required, and you can change or skip it at any time. Answer quiz words correctly and you earn points. If you want, pick a nickname and appear on the public score board alongside other learners in your country. If you would rather stay anonymous, skip it - the app works exactly the same. IF AN ORGANISATION GAVE YOU A CODE Language schools, municipalities and NGOs can put together a sequence of modules for their group. Enter their short code, or scan their QR code, and those modules appear as a guided journey with your progress tracked. PRIVACY No sign-up, no email address, no phone number. Your language, country and progress stay on your device. Usage statistics are anonymous and never linked to you. A nickname on the scoreboard is the only thing that is ever public, it is entirely optional, and you can delete it from Settings at any time. ABOUT PIPE PIPE - Programme of Inclusion for Migrant People - is co-funded by the European Union. The guide is written and reviewed by partner organisations working with newcomers in each country. PIPE offers general orientation and practical information. It is not a government service and does not provide legal advice. For decisions about your individual case, contact the relevant authority or a qualified adviser.
