Play · Work · Unplug · Connect. What a Pi is A Pi is a PiRSquare venue a place you can find on the map, buy a pass for, and walk into. Passes and bookings belong to the Pi where you bought them, so you pick your Pi first. A Pi may be run by PiRSquare or by an independent operator who lists their venue with us. PiRSquare supplies the technology — finding a Pi, buying a pass, paying, loyalty points and the features that put people together. Everything inside the venue — the space, the games, the food, the staff — is the Pi Operator's, and they run it as their own business. There are three kinds of Pi, and the kind decides what you can do there. Play Pi A Play Pi is for board games and for Unplug Sessions, and both are booked the same way. The Board Games & Unplug screen lists what that Pi offers. Board games come with their rules, so you can learn one before you arrive. Unplug Sessions are the screen-free activities a Pi runs — silent reading, journaling, sketching, a board-game night — and you join one exactly as you join a game. Every Pi sets up its own list, so what is on offer changes from Pi to Pi. On a Play pass you can tap "Interested to play" to signal a game you fancy. You can book a table for a date and time, or start a group: pick the game or session, the pass everyone will buy, the date, the time window and how many people you want. Anyone who marked interest in that game at that Pi that day is told a table is forming, and can join it, comment on it or share it. There are tournaments and events to enter too, and your result is recorded when you finish. You can also Connect with other members shown as playing there today and team up at the same Pi. When they confirm the connection and you have both been to the same Pi, you both earn loyalty points. Work Pi A Work Pi is a co-working desk: somewhere to get your work done, with the venue's facilities around you. Buy the pass that fits the way you work — by the hour or session, for a single day, for several days, or a 30-day monthly pass. There are fixed time-slot passes as well, and group passes if you are coming in with others, where everyone gets their own QR code. On a Work pass you can mark "I'm working here today", so other members see the live count on the map and know the place is busy. Board games, Unplug Sessions and groups are Play features, so they are not part of a Work-only Pi. Play & Work Pi A Play & Work Pi is both, in one venue. Work through the morning at a desk, and when you are done, stay and play — a board game, an Unplug Session or a table with other people — without going anywhere else. You choose Play, Work, or Play & Work as the purpose when you buy your pass, and everything from both kinds of Pi is available to you. At any Pi Find a Pi on the map, filter by Play or Work, and see how many people are playing or working there today. Buy your pass online, or choose Pay on Spot and pay at the counter when you arrive. Check in with your QR code at the front desk, or from the app when you get there. Earn loyalty points as you play, visit, connect and refer friends, and spend them for a discount on your next pass. Use a coupon, if the Pi is running one. Refer a friend — you both get points when they join. Ask Mr. Pi, the in-app assistant, to help you find a Pi or work out how something works. Keep your passes, bookings, invoices, points and payment history in one place in your profile, and get a notification when a table forms, a booking changes or points land.
