About

Písmenka is a playful early-reading app for young children learning letters, sounds, syllables, and first words. Each child gets an independent profile, and the app adapts practice to their progress. Short daily sessions introduce one focus letter at a time, review known letters, and gently revisit tricky ones. As children master the alphabet, Czech profiles can grow into slabiky and simple word practice. The app is designed for calm, child-sized practice: • English and Czech learning profiles • Adaptive letter practice based on real answers • Short sessions paced by hearts and a visible daily goal • Audio prompts for letters, syllables, and words • Parent-visible progress for each profile • Up to four independent child profiles • Offline-first gameplay and learning Písmenka keeps practice simple: hear a letter, syllable, or word, then choose or build the matching answer. Friendly feedback, progress goals, and small celebrations help children build confidence through repetition without pressure. Gameplay and learning work locally on the device. Optional parent-enabled Google/Firebase backup can be used to help recover progress.

• Daily Letters and Numbers practice now ask each letter or number as the target at most 5 times per day • The same letter or number no longer appears as the target on two rounds in a row during ordinary practice • Numbers practice no longer gets stuck repeating one “needs work” number after its daily limit • When every introduced letter or number has hit the daily limit, the sitting ends instead of asking extras • Extra Practice from the parent dashboard no longer counts against the daily practice fairness limits • First-run calibration now uses the same layout as a normal session, with progress count and replay button • Cloud backup asks before overwriting a newer-app backup, and refuses empty schema-downgrade overwrites • Opening an older build over newer saved progress no longer wipes the whole profile on unknown fields
