What's New in Pit Dash

1.1.1

October 29, 2026

- When Nexus runs behind the field, an amber line above the countdown says so: matches may start sooner than shown. - While your team is on the field and no start has been reported yet, the timer reads "Awaiting start report" rather than a count it can't trust. It starts counting when a start is reported, or, with Nexus on time, as the estimated start passes. - Team Detail shows where a team comes from and ends with its robot photo from The Blue Alliance; tap the photo to open it on Imgur. Event award trophies take the color of their award. - Phones tap once as your team's queuing advances to Now queuing, On deck and On field. - The schedule marks an estimated current match with "?", as the bottom bar does, and an event that isn't on Nexus shows its Nexus dot gray ("Not on Nexus" in Data Sources). - After you return to the app, the REFRESHING pill clears as soon as matches, live timing and rankings have answered. - Larger text sizes: the timer zone's banners keep to one line, and the schedule, Team Detail's header and the alliance chips fit narrow phones. - In the More menu, pausing partway through typing a team number no longer switches the dashboard to the digits typed so far.

FAQ

What is Pit Dash?

Pit Dash is a free application designed to provide FRC teams with a real-time competition dashboard. It consolidates crucial data like match countdowns, queuing status, and team performance metrics directly to your phone or tablet.

Does Pit Dash have ads?

No, Pit Dash is completely free for the FRC community and does not contain advertisements. It is built by FRC Team 2363, Triple Helix, with the goal of supporting other teams.

What data sources does Pit Dash use?

Pit Dash intelligently fuses data from The Blue Alliance, FRC Nexus, and Statbotics to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date information is displayed. Visual indicators clearly show the source and quality of the data.

Can I use Pit Dash offline?

Yes, Pit Dash works offline by caching all event data locally. If the event Wi-Fi connection drops, the app will continue to function with the last known data and display a staleness indicator.

How does Pit Dash handle tablet layouts?

On tablets in landscape mode, Pit Dash intelligently splits into two or three columns. This allows different views, such as the timer and alliance stats, to remain visible simultaneously while you explore other team details.

What is the 'Time Travel' feature in Pit Dash?

The 'Time Travel' feature allows you to scrub backward through any moment of the event you've watched live. You can replay queuing moments, alliance shifts, and ranking changes at various speeds (1x, 10x, or 60x).

How can I see my team's season performance with Pit Dash?

In 'Season Mode,' Pit Dash displays your team's season EPA breakdown, awards collected, and district standings. You can tap on any past event to revisit its schedule and results.
