About
Every inclinometer shows your angle. Pitch & Roll knows your limits.
An angle alone can't tell you whether you're in trouble — that depends on your
vehicle, your tyres, and the ground under them. Pitch & Roll measures the live
pull on your vehicle and shows how much of two limits you're using:
GRIP — how close your tyres are to sliding. Set by your tyre type and the
surface you're on: tarmac, gravel, rock, sand, mud or snow, dry or wet.
TIP — how close you are to lifting wheels. Set by your vehicle's real geometry:
track width, centre of gravity, wheelbase, roof load, lift.
One glance gives you both readings, a dot against your two boundaries, and a
plain sentence: "Slide comes first on gravel." "Tip is your nearer limit —
watch the lean." No thresholds to guess. No generic warning angle.
WHY AN ANGLE ISN'T ENOUGH
23 degrees is a non-event in one vehicle on dry clay and a rollover in another
on wet grass. The same corner that barely wakes a stock SUV can lift a wheel
on an RV-boxed expedition truck. Pitch & Roll computes the difference — that's
the whole point.
BUILT FOR THE MOUNT
Calibrate once on level ground (two seconds). Mount the phone at any angle,
even turned toward the driver — the mount-yaw dial keeps readings in the
vehicle's frame, not the phone's. Remounting doesn't need recalibration.
CHANGE SURFACE MID-DRIVE
Tarmac ends, gravel starts: one tap on the surface selector and your grip
limit updates — with a wet modifier where it matters. Watch the boundary move;
that's why an angle can't warn you.
FOR EVERY RIG — AND THE ROAD TO THE TRAIL
From street tyres on a sedan to mud terrains on a lifted pickup: eight tyre
classes, from summer road tyres to studded winters, each with its own grip on
each surface. Useful on the drive out, honest on the trail.
HONEST BY DESIGN
Every reading carries a ~ because every limit is an estimate, computed from
published engineering values — not a measurement of your exact tyres on your
exact rock. Readings are advisories, not safety determinations. Sudden swerves,
bouncing, and obstacles can upset a vehicle below these limits. Your eyes are
in charge. Interact with the app only while parked.
PRIVATE, FREE, QUIET
No account. No ads. No subscription. Motion data is processed on the device
and uploads nowhere — the privacy label says "Data Not Collected" because
there is nothing to collect.
Pitch & Roll. Slide or tip — know which, before the trail tells you.

Shareable cards. After a drive that used a meaningful part of a limit, Pitch and Roll offers a card you can keep or share. Several moments are held per drive, so you choose the one worth keeping. Steadier on rough ground. Road-noise handling was retuned against measurements from a moving vehicle instead of a desk, so readings settle better on washboard and broken surfaces. Easier to set up while parked. Larger touch targets on the surface and exit controls, a steadier Mount Check layout, and no more delay when typing a vehicle name.
