Frustrating…
The A1 players don’t understand the lowest card concept. If playing partners they will give the lowest card in their hand first, if the 2 isn’t out, they will have other cards to play. Or ex, they will have a queen and 2, they’ll come back with the 2 (low) and lose it. They’ll give low before a ten. The commuter players don’t really understand the high, low, jack and game entirely. Very annoying.
Again…whoever created the guidelines should know how to play the game. My partner had a 4,7 and queen…I played a king..opposing team put on an ace…partner played the 4 which was low. So annoying!

Going downhill fast
The game was pretty good for awhile but went downhill fast. In the beginning the cards were fairly well distributed. Now it is very rare for me to get an ace while the other three opponents get aces on a regular basis. When I get stuck with the bid I will usually get like an 8 high and opponents who did not bid will be loaded with aces,kings etc. good luck! The idea of the game is to bid when you have the cards to do so. Some people even play in a way that the only points you get are the ones you bid.

When you’re the dealer & dealt 3-9 & your opponents are holding aces, kings, queens & jacks & fail to bid & sit on you, I call this sit on the dealer not pitch!

This game is hopelessly skewed for the computer to win. The deck is not reshuffled enough so the same trumps keep recurring. Too bad because it could be a good game.

There is no way the cards are randomly drawn.

Also opponents seem to have multiple trump on many hands. Again making it difficult to win hands.
I have played it for about two weeks now hoping that this might change… however it seems to remain. It has basically made the app unplayable..

Skewed to favor the team for the computer.
The game seems to always give the computer the edge when they are forced to bid. Also the cards don’t seem sufficiently shuffled because the trump repeats to frequently.
not realistic
very repetitive, same hands dealt consistently. not much fun after a few rounds…
Cheaters
There are hands where an auto player plays off suit for trump lead to later take last hand with a trump card. I noticed something up several times then one game I knew absolutely. My hand was all one suit except one card. 4th set no trump suit for all auto players. Then auto player takes last set with trump suit and point for low.

No ability to change game settings
I wanted to remove the dealers ability to steal the low bid, but all my efforts failed. I also wanted to allow all players to pass if desired, but this option is not offered. I can live with that, but not with the first . What is the problem?

There are a wide variety of rules you can customize. The rules shown DURING A GAME are for information purposes only. You have to start a new game with the rules you want. In your case, select "additional games" from main menu, then "create new pitch game". Here you can customize all the game rules, including dealer's ability to steal low bid. Once you get the setting the way you like, save it as your own custom game. Then you play that version. All players can pass in the bid dialog EXCEPT the dealer who has to bid if no one else did.

I’ve been playing this game almost 30 years, but we called it set back. The only thing I see different is, I thought you always had to beat trump? If I played a king and you had the ace and a 10 I thought you had to play the ace since you had to beat trump. In play it didn’t work that way on the app.

Thanks for your feedback. That particular rule variation is not one I heard before. I'll consider an option for future games.
Solid
For those of you who play pitch, this is a solid game. AI is decent so there is a challenge. Minor things could make this better such as multi-player, not having to specifically select trump cards (just make it first card played) and not auto playing cards when no choice….but really minor in the scale of needed improvements. Overall a good solid game for those of you who like the game itself. Probably the best one available on the App Store In relation to graphics, gameplay and experience.
