Awesome Concept&Great Marketing
My friends and I were approached in Central Park by a super friendly guy who gave us a quick pitch and a business card. It was refreshing to not feel pressured or cornered by a grass roots marketing campaign. I checked out the app and it is super sleek, intentional, and user friendly. For those who are new to the city, this is an amazing resource to find your footing and meet new people! Kudos to the guy at Sheep Meadow on 5/26!!

Finally an interest-based social app that actually works
This is one of the best designed, best intentioned, INCLUSIVE, and human-centered social app. I was able to meet a few people who became irl friends afterwards in NYC. I’ve also discovered a few local events because of it, like FKJ’s concert in Brooklyn.
From listing ALL genders (not just female/male/other) to different cuisines (what’s up Caribbean food lovers) to interests (hey I do love cannabis AND museums), it is clear the Pitch team are building an app to include everyone. There are interesting people on the app that I’ve encountered through the Communities feature.
I also love how beautiful and polished the app is, especially one that just released this year. Sometimes I would post my Pitch event on Instagram or send to friends because it’s just easier to share my plans that way.

Froze and crashed
Froze 7x while trying to upload a photo. I had to reopen the app and try again and again. Wasted 30 minutes of my life, still couldn’t upload a photo.

Pitch is great for meeting new people who have similar hobbies and it’s more actionable because it’s events-based. Highly recommend!
Terrific idea
This app is so unique because unlike dating apps where real plans are never made, this one is based off those plans. I think it’s a great way to meet new people, especially living in a city like I do.
Ditch Hinge, Erase Tinder, Pitch is here to save your social life
As a millennial, was starting to get really discouraged at the state of dating/social apps. I’ve had one too many traumatic Tinder dinners, and all my Hinge meetups felt too manufactured and not organic. Pitch strikes a fantastic balance between dating and just getting out in the city and doing cool things.
It’s so much better to have my persona be about the interesting activities and hobbies I’m into, rather than a photo and witty blurb. I could see Pitch turning into more of a social club than a hookup connect.
The onboarding process is also super thoughtful, with more customization options than I have ever seen before. It’s clear the developers of the app are also just looking to have a good time and meet interesting, like-minded friends!
