GtrPerson

I got this and another similar app PitchToPiano... On a guitar, when I play the lowest Ab (and the remaining lower notes G, Gb, and F), the app reads the notes a fifth off... However all other registers on the guitar are accurate and registered quickly with this app. Still cool app!

Better before the update

This used to be a great app for a vocalist, as a singer could see whether they were right on pitch, just above or below, way above or below, or smack in the middle. It used to be a moving chart that would show you where your dominant pitch was, and what other notes you were hitting. It was super simple to read. Now there's this ridiculous keyboard, you can only do it landscape, and it doesn't tell you what octave. It only lights on the predominant note, not showing the relationship between the dominant and secondary pitches.

Further, while being able to adjust the tuning is important for instrumentalists, the sliding tuning bar on the top is WAY too easy to accidentally change, and there is no way to auto reset it back to 440-- you just have to slide your finger around and keep trying to get where you need to go.

Please please please go back to the old graphic format-- at least offer that as an option. I will happily readjust my stars then. Also, please adjust it so that the tuning slider is not so easy to accidentally move.

Mad about update

When I first bought this app it was my absolute life saver and I had thought it still would be for the up coming school year when I am taking ap music theoroy but after this last update this app has become completely useless too me it no longer shows specific letter names and is pointless for those who are not used to letters from keys of a piano. The update also got rid of the identification of what c or d (d7 for example) was being played. This app now is terrible and I discourage all to buy it until their fail of an upgrade is fixed.

After reading the negative reviews I Wasn't sure but I decided to go for it anyway. It works really well and does what I need it to do. Great app.

Don't buy

All this thing did was jump from note to note and lock up my phone!
